The room was clean and large! My favorite part of the stay was the reception area and the staff! I highly recommend this hotel for it's accommodating welcome. It's not just for retro lovers, it is close to all modes of public transportation. It is within walking distance to the Riverfront, great for the going's on at the enMarket arena. The city provides a bus service from near the civic auditorium to the arena for only $5 round trip (Jan 2026). The donuts at the reception area are included in your room rate and are the best donuts that I have EVER had! Wren at the reception counter is a GEM, so kind and helpful! There is another hotel that is called the Thunderbird Inn so make sure you get this one!!!!!

We loved the retro vibe. The room was nice, tidy, and very clean. Bed and pillows were comfy. There were a few snags that need fixing, such as the toilet paper holder and the shower liner not covering the back side area and allowed water to rush out.

What a gem in Savannah! Retro, kitschy, quirky and cool. The donuts were amazing, the staff super kind and helpful, and the room warm and comfortable. We will be staying at Thunderbird again!

Decent hotel, no frills but clean. The main thing that was frustrating was that you can’t set the AC below 69 so it wasn’t as cold as we wanted to sleep. There’s also no live tv or cable so you have to stream from apps your phone (if you can get it to work - half the time the wifi signal was too spotty to stream it). Having a simple antenna for live tv to see local weather and news would be nice like most hotel provide. Our room was by the stairs and the cleaning staff posted up there, so it was noisy with people talking outside early every morning. Parking is an additional $25/night as well. The biggest perk to staying here is being walking distance to museums and this side of historic downtown. For what you get at this price point, we prob will choose another hotel next time we visit Savannah.

i didn't take a shower b/c the shower basin had a shallow lip. Water would have been all over in the bathroom. The hotel description stated they served Krispy Kreme donuts for breakfast. They did not. the front desk person laughed and said they hadn't in years. I booked this hotel b/c of it. There was no desk there was room for one. It was a cute hotel and clean.

Room was clean but HOT I was able to lower the temperature. The gal at the front desk kinda gruff at the start but she was actually very nice I think she was just busy when we arrived. I gave 4 stars only because I don’t really ever give 5 Bit expensive for the accommodations .

A good place to take a shower, but not much else. The environment is very noisy-car doors slamming, loud music playing at night, traffic up and down the steps in the mornings. The website posts claims of continental breakfast, but the only thing served in the mornings with donuts, which were very good and coffee and juice. One of the staff members said they don’t know why they have that posted ( continental breakfast) on the website. The designated pet area is a plus. I would not stay here again.

The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The room was very cute and clean if not a little worse for wear (tears on the 2 seats in the room, minor scrapes and scratches on the furniture). I did not get the room I had booked - 1 king with a pull out, the shower did not have hot water in the evening (it did this morning) and the tv stopped giving sound after about an hour so we just went to bed. Haven’t had the breakfast yet but don’t have high hopes.
