We enjoyed our time at Royal Sonesta. The staff was friendly and professional. Our room cleaning person, Hilton, was really good, he arranged the pillows differently every time with my daughter's stuffed dragon. It was very cute and brought a smile to our faces! We were on the 12th floor with amazing views. There's a small balcony you can stand on and look out, or sit by. The pools and grounds are very clean. The staff here is efficient and friendly. The beach has an umbrella and chair service which is part of the resort amenities. We had food and drinks during the happy hour in the lobby restaurant, I liked that they had some items for less $ every evening from 5-7. The beach is beautiful, but it was not safe to swim during the time we were there, too windy. But we still enjoyed the beach and sand.we got a breakfast buffet, which had an omelet station, fruits, pastries, etc. it was pretty good, with good fruit variety. The little coffee shop has excellent coffee and sandwiches. The food at the hotel and in San Juan is expensive, but we did not venture out too far. Overall we had a great time. I recommend this hotel.

We had a great time during our stay. The first night, we had dinner at Ocean Breeze and our waiter did an outstanding job. We don’t remember his name but he had curly hair and glasses. He gave us all types of recommendations and always with a smile on his face. Same with the waitresses at the breakfast buffet. The hotel is clean and very well kept. We totally recommend it!

The staff were courteous. The room was cozy. Some of the finishings in the bathroom were rusted and dated so the aesthetic was minimally tarnished. Overall good stay. Would recommend.

Room was ok. Chairs on balconies would be great. When checking in could not hear anything as there was a party by the bar area that is too close to check in. Had our bags and was hard to get through to the elevators with all the people standing in that area. Food was mid. Not great. Buffet was terrible. Price for gross food was sad. Beach area hard to get chairs and as soon as someone got off one and were going to take one the attendants were taking them away. Asked for more chairs and told they couldn’t put any more out. This was at 3 pm. Hotel staff was friendly. Housekeeping great.

The room was clean but not spotless, there was still hair in the shower from previous guests and a lot of dust around the little fridge area and the coffee machine didnt work. The room had a humid smell, not dirty but you could tell there was a weird smell. The staff was courteous. And the location was really nice. There is different dining options on site and bars with excellent drinks. I wish the pool was heated but it was still nice and clean. I really enjoyed the little restaurant along the beach and the towel service asl well. Overall it was a nice stay.

We were never given a full property run down/exclamation - so we found out where things were and what was happening as days went on. We were never informed of how much the breakfast buffet was as we missed a la carte breakfast by minutes. Paid F&B options are expensive and sometimes without informing you the price. A bottle of Champagne that we ordered was $215 dollars; when the day before I paid $100 off property at the T Mobile District. Bit of a slap in the face to not inform guests and/or have a menu price available. Our room was lovely, BUT - the bathroom kept flooding when we showered. The faucet - made more of a mess than it was useful. We left the property three times out of our four day stay, never once did valet services or a bell man offered to help us. The housekeeping team, while they would change our towels - they didn't change the linen. We noticed this on day three when unfortunately my wife PJ's bled/stained the sheets from the night prior. With that being said the nicest person and recognized us out of our stay was Joseph the bartender at the pool bar. 5 stars for him!

A band was playing at night but all I heard in our room was the base-boom boom boom. The manager refused to come to our room to check it out nor to turn down the base or music. It was not a good holiday at a premium price.
