We enjoyed our time at Royal Sonesta. The staff was friendly and professional. Our room cleaning person, Hilton, was really good, he arranged the pillows differently every time with my daughter's stuffed dragon. It was very cute and brought a smile to our faces! We were on the 12th floor with amazing views. There's a small balcony you can stand on and look out, or sit by. The pools and grounds are very clean. The staff here is efficient and friendly. The beach has an umbrella and chair service which is part of the resort amenities. We had food and drinks during the happy hour in the lobby restaurant, I liked that they had some items for less $ every evening from 5-7. The beach is beautiful, but it was not safe to swim during the time we were there, too windy. But we still enjoyed the beach and sand.we got a breakfast buffet, which had an omelet station, fruits, pastries, etc. it was pretty good, with good fruit variety. The little coffee shop has excellent coffee and sandwiches. The food at the hotel and in San Juan is expensive, but we did not venture out too far. Overall we had a great time. I recommend this hotel.

Hotel, beach, pools, and restaurants all good - airport is close but you don’t hear jets - just the crashing waves. The area is run down and the town has to give it a major facelift. Go to the nicer El Coronado area a few miles away unless you stay at the hotel the whole time.

Our experience was very disappointing. On the first day of our stay, our daughter was hit by one of the doors leading to the outside terrace on the property. The staff was not helpful in handling the situation, and instead of properly addressing our concerns, they offered us cheesecake as if that would make things better. Our daughter had to walk around with a black eye for the rest of the trip, and it was uncomfortable because people assumed we weren’t taking care of her or that something worse had happened. On top of that, the room itself was very basic and not worth the $600 per night price. Overall, this was not the experience we expected, and we will not be staying here again.

The hotel has a great location right in the beach, spacious hot tub, and big pool. It’s the only hotel with a bar/restaurant on the beach and the staff was great!

We have stayed at the resort many times over the years and always have a wonderful time. The facility is lovely, and the staff is always pleasant and accommodating. For some reason, however, we had to track down toilet paper, as though it was being rationed! And final note, I realize the spa is no longer owned by the hotel but their “ we don’t do butts“ massage policy is laughable.

Beautiful property. Friendly staff. Great location . Pool bar drinks not impressive. Unfortunately, you can hear all noises in the hallway while trying to sleep in the bedroom.

The room was very clean, the pool was really clean, sparkling! The beach access was perfect, one of the security staff made my day everytime we went out and came in, I forgot his name but he was telling everyone to have a blessed day. He was awesome! The breakfast we only had one day
