The building and facilities were older, but that seems to come with Portofino. There was an issue with the room safe that the staff fixed, although the television in the room continued to freeze and did not appear to be fixable. Overall we had a good experience and would recommend the hotel on the understanding that the price reflects that fact that everything is more expensive than normal in Portofino."
