This review is for sister hotel next door at hotel Grand Savoia where we got upgraded. It’s great they let us check in early at 10 am coming from a cruise. A great 5 star hotel with nice reception desk and elegant lounge. Room was very nice clean and a good size except mattress was little soft. Train station and bus stops including bus for hop on hop off bus is just across.

Horrible neighborhood

Inside the hotel was pretty and almost a throw back to 1930’s. The staff hardly spoke English but we were in their country 😊. The area around it is so hard to drive through and if you walk around it was one of the worst neighborhoods we have seen on our entire trip.

Convenient location but I booked the sister property and they “upgraded” me here. It was a faux upgrade since it was the off season and it seemed they were consolidating the guests in the one property. It’s 5stars but incredibly dated.

The hotel was great but the room service keeping tea coffee and milk was a problem. We asked the front desk and the message was not acted upon. We caught the staff on our floor and they supplied extra but on a daily basis replacements were not delivered. Yes there was a language problem as we dont speak italian but something as basic as replacement of tea and coffee should be straight forward. The staff themselves were friendly and helpful but unfortunately this did not transfer to action.

Great hotel with big room, unlike typical European hotels. We booked the triple room and it was lovely. Super spacious, comfy bed, balcony was perfect view of the little town. We got breakfast with our booking and the buffet was plenty to choose. Food was delicious too. Staff was friendly and hotel was clean and smells amazing . Transportation was easy as it was close to the main train station. Also lots of dining options around the area within walking distance. Definitely recommended!!

The Continental was under upgeades, so we were given a room at the Savoia. We loved it!

Breakfast was a great option. The room was spacious and comfortable. The elevator was an old-timey Otis elevator which only held a small family or 6 people. It serviced all 5 floors, so there was usually a wait in the mornings and afternoon. The location was great - right across from a main bus and railroad station; and the Metro station was a 5 minute walk away.
