We had a wonderful stay at the Smeraldo. It’s a cute clean hotel with a great location. So close to major sights and places to eat. The hotel staff was wonderful answering questions prior to and during our stay. We were a large party staying pre cruise and they were always patient and they helpful getting taxis and directions to wherever we needed. Loved the rooftop bar and the included breakfast. There was a Rick Steves tour staying there at the same time…if he includes it in his tour package .. you know it’s good !

This hotel is in a great location-walkable to many sights in Rome. Hotel staff was extremely helpful in making suggestions about where to eat. Shout out to Emanuel at the front desk. The free breakfast was great. An added bonus were the made to order specialty coffees which were included. Overall the rooms were clean but small but also had very good air conditioning. A great choice to stay in Rome.

My daughter and I had the best stay. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Our stay was at the beginning of July, and we worried about A/C, but the entire hotel was very very cold. The entire building was very clean. Everyday we saw staff cleaning and mopping. The staff helped us find dining options, called taxis, and arranged a ride from the airport. The breakfast every morning was AMAZING. And lastly, the location was perfect. Walking distance from almost everything. I would stay at this hotel time and time again.

Upon check-in the staff was unable to find our reservation and blamed us for an issue that later turned out to be their system. When we were showed our room it was tucked away in a back corner with limited access on the first floor. When entering the front desk staff “checked” the A/C unit and informed us it was working. We were additionally met with a strong smell of mold though none was visible. Adding to the uncomfortable stay was the hotel room that only increased in temperature as the night progressed. Throughout the night the room reached 28 Celsius. During check out we informed the front desk of the faulty A/C and it was immediately brushed off with no follow up or action.

Great Hotel.

Smeraldo provided us with a great stay. Though the room was small it is very well designed for comfort. The room was nicely decorated, clean and the bed was comfortable. The front desk staff were super helpful. The breakfast was great!

This was the perfect hotel for a first timers quick trip to Rome. The staff was absolutely incredible and so helpful. They treated us like we were the only guests there! So many great food options, shops and sights within walking distance.

We were treated very well during our stay. The front desk was attentive and always kind. The location was terrific and within walking distance of most sights. Although the rooms were air conditioned we felt 24 was too warm for a comfortable sleep. Because it was so hot during that time, we tended to use the taxi service. Highly recommend.
