The breakfast was a great option for our busy days in Rome. We were able to start our day with a good meal regular continental options but also some local items to try & great coffee. Rooftop bar was great for a cocktail after seeing the sights. Tried to have dinner there one night and food service was closed at 5pm not sure what happened. Overall great location and very clean. Easy to walk to all the sights and find our way back. Staff very helpful both at check in and check out and with helping us find the sights.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Smeraldo. From the time we arrived until we left, the front desk team helped us with any requests or questions we had. The rooftop bar was great to enjoy a drink in the afternoon and the breakfast was awesome! Many great options to choose from. The location was in the heart of Rome and was close to shopping, restaurants and all the sites we came to see. Leonardo at the front desk was exceptional and the room was great! Would definitely recommend this hotel and we actually have friends coming to Rome in August that plan to stay there!

Hotel Smeraldo is located in the heart of Rome's historic district. The Pantheon is within walkable distance. The hotel is maintained well, is attactive, provides a great included breakfast, and the staff are helpful and attentive.

Beautiful hotel, delicious breakfast, excellent staff, and location is great. Short walks to many historical sites and basilicas. The hotel is across the street from a restaurant that serves delicious food. There’s also a pizza and pastry shop across the street not to be missed. Gelato shop next to the pizza shop has many flavors that are delicious. Hotel Smeraldo made our first trip to Rome memorable.

An excellent small hotel right in a perfect location in the center of Rome. My single room with balcony was very comfortable - the bed was bigger than other European "twin" rooms I have had in the past. And the balcony was incredible, I spent hours sitting out there. Breakfast was excellent too with lots of options, fresh bread from the Roscioli bakery across the street, and complimentary barista service! Friendly and helpful front desk. Only negative, the Wi-fi was pretty slow/weak.

This is our second stay at Hotel Smeraldo. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate guests. The location is close to restaurants and shops. It has a warm, neighborhood feel. Can’t recommend this hotel too highly! Such friendly helpful staff, fantastic location for exploring Rome, super clean and decorated beautifully. And the breakfasts, included, were delicious with so many different drink options and wonderful breads and pastries ( plus eggs etc). Could have stayed for weeks!

The Hotel was in the middle of everything in Rome, but it's on a quiet side street and once inside it's very peaceful. The bed was comfy, the room meticulously clean and bathroom was lovely. Would definitely stay there again!
