Excellent stay the night before our flight! They upgraded our room and gave us a bottle of wine—always pick VIP access properties. The shuttle picked us up after dropping off our rental car and then took us to the airport bright and early the next morning. Very comfortable room and bed.

The front desk were very courteous and helpful. The room was clean and good sized. The restaurant was dated in appearance with an ammonia smell in the air and loud music at the bar. I didn’t have the opportunity to try the food. They hung up on me when I tried to call to order ahead, and when I walked down there, the 2 busy looking waitresses refused to make eye contact with me, and did not seat me at any of the several empty tables after a several minute wait, so I eventually just left and got a cold salad from the mini convenience store at the front desk. My other issue was with the shuttle. It is necessary to call for a shuttle pickup upon arrival—they do not do an automatic circuit. There is nothing in the online information or the email confirmation from the hotel that mentions this, and it was quite difficult to obtain the correct number to call for the shuttle—again it is nowhere to be found in the online listing of the email confirmation. So except for the front desk, customer service overall was poor.

Not a bad place to be stranded.

We were stranded in Portland for the night. Hotels.com made it easy to find a room with a 24 hour shuttle. There was a restaurant and we got a few good hours of sleep.
