This unit is great for people who love to ski! The access to the slopes is right out the back door. However, the access to skiing is not great for beginners. The unit is on a blue run and we had a skier in our group who is just learning to ski. We had to drive her to the Park City base each day, which is about a 15 minutes away. The more advanced skiers in our group loved the location and were happy to be on the Canyons side of the resort, which seemed to be less crowded than the Park City side.
The unit is at the top of a long hill, so you can't walk to the base area, but the shuttle is very quick and reliable, so this wasn't a major issue for us. There are a few restaurants at the Canyons base, but we mostly traveled into town for meals. The teenagers in our group enjoyed the game room and pool.
The unit itself is very nice. Other than the master suite and bunk room, the bedrooms are quite small, which was surprising based on the photographs. We had to unpack our suitcases because there is no floor space in the rooms, but there was plenty of space in the dressers and closets so this worked out fine.
Overall, we had a great vacation! I wouldn't hesitate to return to this unit.
