This house was beautiful! Our views were amazing each day! Very spacious and beautifully decorated. The beds were very comfortable. And all the bathrooms were beautiful and spacious. There was a slight sulfur smell to the water at times so you had to let it run for awhile to remove the smell. Beach access was perfect and we heated the pool which was great. The bikes were great too. The only suggestion would be to have more than 2 chairs and umbrella.

This house was incredible. The views made it feel like we were always out on the beach even if we were inside making lunch. It was perfect with little kids, as we were able to access the beach right at our door step. The private beach was a luxury with perfect clear waters in front of us. We will definitely stay here again! Several on the trip said it was the best beach trip they've ever been on because of the home!

Incredible senior trip

We had an amazing time with or daughter and nine of her friends for their high school senior trip. The house was incredible, and the location made it even better!! The sunsets, campfires on the beach and the pool made their stay here full of memories that will last a lifetime. We will be booking Summer of 42 again!!

Property is just as stunning as advertised. Location was fantastic. Everything was very easy. No surprises. Only downside was we had to leave. We had a couple of questions that were answered immediately by our property contact. 5 stars all around.

Great Beach location

The house is amazing. The location is the best! The house was very clean. The only issue we had was the water had a horrible sulfur smell. We didn’t cook a lot because we didn’t want to use the water. The bikes that we used from the house were great! We would definitely come back.

A week in Paradise

This was our second year renting this property. It is stunning with beautiful water views. It is a short bike ride and walk to the little center with many restaurants and shops. This year we did a bonfire on the beach. I would highly recommend it just schedule ahead of time. Next year we plan on doing a day excursion, either swimming with the dolphins or snorkeling. The Dune vacation staff is very helpful answering questions. I would definitely recommend this property!

Gorgeous house

Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful house right on the sand. Communication was easy and quick to respond when we needed anything! 4 floors so don't underestimate that - got good workouts! all very clean! Definitely doesn't come with any little amenities or pantry items so plan to have your own.

Good property

Walk out beach access, spacious property. Property is located between two public access points, so the beach got crowded quickly. Pool was warm. We experienced a malfunctioning elevator, which was repaired halfway through our stay. Price paid was a bit higher than value received. Overall, it’s a very nice property and location.

Great house

This is a dream house for many reasons which include: - Right on the water -- you hear the waves all day/night - Brand new house and has every amenity you would expect in a 5-star hotel - Heated pool and chairs above the beach/ocean (Very amazing with kids) - Plenty of space to hold 3 families or 13-15 people - Access to Property Manager -- always got back to me and dealt with some smaller issues - Inlet Beach has no public parking, so you don't get the craziness of Rosemary (nor do you have to. pay the ludicrous prices for beach chairs!) - The decks on this house are great for entertaining or just watching the sunsets Highly recommend this house!

Good

Ok but minimal stocking. I don’t mind buying my own paper towels, but a paper towel holder would be nice. As. Would basic salt & pepper & Kleenex. Not having use of elevator is a pain for luggage on 3rd & 4th floor. All property issues handled as promptly as possible. But bad breaker for DR was an issue last 3-4 days. Etc etc.

Queen Bee

Everything was clean and lovely except the grill which had not been cleaned for a very long time. Property manager wasn’t timely but the results were excellent. He did everything we asked but not in a timely manner. Pool guy came and hardly cleaned the pool; left sand on the steps which was there when we arrived. Internet was down for half our vacation time so kids had to watch on iPhones. This all said; we would definitely rent again! Thank you very much!

Family get together

The house, view, and location were amazing. Communication with house manager was good. Cleanliness of the house at check in was NOT satisfactory. For the price, it should be spotless, including underneath furniture, corners and edges of floors. The glass showers were water spotted and bedding on one of the beds had some stains. There were dirty socks behind the sofa and jelly beans underneath, and one of the bedrooms had a fingernail on the floor. Also, the dishwasher did a terrible job. Pool was not heated when we arrived and a technician had to come out to fix it before we could use the pool. I would recommend this house for large families IF it was cleaned as it should have been upon arrival.

Good and bad

Nice home. Great location. Good beach. The day we checked in we noticed the dishwasher door wouldn’t shut. We called maintenance who came out Sunday and determined they couldn’t fix it and it needed an appliance person to come out. Next day we called again and were told they had called someone. I was also advised that refrigerators were a more important problem due to food spoilage. I guess that knocked us down a notch. They never showed the entire week and the offset was they brought us paper plates, styrofoam cups and plasticware. I emailed my disappointment on Friday as the week was ending. So far nothing until I got this request for a review. When you spend the amount of money for a week you really don’t want to eat off paper plates the entire time or spend time hand washing dishes.

Family and Friends

Our week at Summer of '42 was amazing. The house is gorgeous, and the furnishings are, too. The best part is the easy access to the private beach, especially during busy times when beach space is at a premium. We would definitely stay there again.

Great Time

We had an amazing time and the property is so nice. With the pool and the beach right in the back yard the kids always had something to do. So many different things to do, shops and many restaurants very close, some within walking distance. We would definitely recommend this property

Wonderful property w/ private beach

We had a lovely week at this property, as there were 8 of us staying here. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out! The pool was nice and the private beach was much appreciated.

Great House

Everything about the house was great! They definitely could use some more throw blankets and extra blankets/pillows for the house. I did contact the rental company the day we got there about a couple things but never heard back from them. Other than that it was a great experience and the house was fantastic!
