Overall everything was great! This is our second time staying at Les Suites. The room could have used a spring clean, lots of cobwebs in the corners. All the essentials were very clean! We love how spacious the rooms are and everyone had privacy with the 2 bedrooms.

What I liked most was the "room", which was in fact a one-bedroom apartment in which a couple could live relatively comfortably for months.

Booking said parking was a certain amount per night with come and go as you like. We arrived and they told us their parking was full and we could park at Indigo or Rideau Centre. Neither of these are come and go as you like. Parking ended up being almost twice as much. The Indigo parking stated daily parking was until 6 am. When we asked the one hotel person they had no idea the rules there. If they’re going to tell you to park elsewhere they should train staff to have an idea of the rules. An okay stay but nothing special. Staff were at least friendly.

We upgraded to Modern room. Much more comfortable. Other rooms need remodeling too. Used pool often. Was clean and nice natural light. Perfect for young kids.

We've stayed at this property before & really enjoyed the suite. That's why we chose to stay there again. Close to lots of reataurants, shops & the Byward Market. The area seems relatively safe as well.

Great hotel and location

Hotel was clean and rooms looked fresh possibly even recently renovated. We had a full kitchen with plates, cutlery, and mugs etc. Location is amazing right on the edge of the Byward Market Only two marks against it. Infound the mattress overly firm, I'm sure some would like that, and the elevators were a really slow, especially at busy periods

I stayed at Les-Suites Hotel in downtown Ottawa for three nights, and my experience was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, I was assigned a lower floor room. When I asked to move to a higher floor, the staff demanded an extra CAD 100 per night, even though no such charges or floor preferences were mentioned at the time of booking. Charging unexpected fees at check-in without prior disclosure is unethical. Worse, when I requested the bill to be split into two receipts — two nights for business and one night for personal use — a standard requirement for many corporate travelers, the hotel refused to assist. Shockingly, the manager himself was rude and dismissive, telling me I "should stay at a different hotel next time" rather than helping solve the issue. This level of unprofessionalism, especially coming from hotel management, is unacceptable. While the location is convenient, the service experience was the worst I have encountered, and I strongly advise business and leisure travelers to choose other accommodations where guests are treated with respect.
