Room is old. Extremely noisy but usually at 5:30am is the worst. They gave use 2 empty water bottles to refill with filtered water? Strangest thing. And water tastes like the toilet. Lastly, don't order room service. Go down to Carmines and order it out.

Room was clean but very dated. Strong Musty smell. The room air conditioning worked perfect. But the hallway was very warm and humid (3rd floor). Most of the time only one elevator was working. The pool was closed so it was quite a long walk to get to the other pools. Staff was friendly.

1. Room was dirty 2. Half of the restaurants, pools, bars, and water park was closed 3. Service was very poor 4. We had a lizard in our room that jumped into our food 5. Our flight was cancelled and the Expedia representatives were not helpful and they had a very bad attitude. We had to call 6 different representatives to finally have someone change our flights. We were very stressed out and it ruined our vacation. 6. We had to spend an additional $200 on meals and travel on the way home 7. My husband and I have been loyal Expedia customers for 20 years and we were celebrating our 10 year anniversary 8. We are expecting at LEAST a $500 credit

We had originally booked the Coral but two days after our arrival date the hotel was to close to complete renovations. That was a perk for us because we were upgraded to the Royal. It was a great hotel right in the middle of the property. The waterpark was awesome and the food was great. The food can get expensive but we decided to eat big breakfasts, have a small snack around lunch time and then have dinner. We ate at Marina Pizza the first night and it was so good, we would have ate there again but they also shut down for updates. Ate at Claudio’s multiple times bc we loved it so much. The Shake Shack was great. We purchased the refillable drink and it was so worth it. It was enough for my husband and I to share alcoholic drinks and the kids used it for refillable sodas. My favorite pool was the Grotto Pool tucked away and the most peaceful. The kids loved the waterslides and my favorite was the rapid river. It’s gets little intense in areas, pay attention. The beaches were nice and our favorite was cove beach. The snorkeling was amazing and we saw turtles, fish, and a stingray and nurse shark. The lifeguards there were great and very attentive to all situations. Unfortunately, some people got upset when they decided to shut the beaches down later in our trip because the hurricane had passed right off the coast. Even with the protection of the cove beach the rip tides were intense, they made the right choice. Overall this was a great trip for our family.
