The property overall was fine. Small things like the air conditioner filter looked like it had never been cleaned/changed. The handle of the bathroom had a dent in the wall. The bed was questionably a king, definitely smaller than the king we have at home, but seemed bigger than a queen. Location was fantastic. Very walkable and felt safe. I would recommend if you are solely looking for a place to crash as it’s nothing special.

I liked the fact that it was close to shopping, dining and the subway. The room had a lot of ants. It was also a bit run down. Also there was hair in the bathroom and tub. The staff at the hotel didn’t do anything about it.

Under going renovations, my hallway was a mess and had obstructions, including a random mattress and a microwave! There was dust from what seems like plaster and boxes lying about. Outside they were working on brick facing and chunks of brick were falling dangerously from the scaffolding! I registered a concern— maybe it was heeded. At one point a service worker entered my room without knocking! I hollered at him and he was clearly embarrassed but I called down and complained— also unheeded. I should have received some consideration but they were very laissez-faire. I won’t be back.

It was fine. Room was very basic but clean. View from the 2nd floor window of my room was just a filthy roof covered in garbage and looked directly into another room, so had to keep the blinds shut the entire time.

I stayed here for 2 nights. It is a short walk from the railway station, and a longer walk to the old city and Mont Royal. I didn’t use many of the facilities, but I did appreciate being able to leave my bags after checking out and the drinks machine and seating in reception.

So the main issue is constructing of a tall building next door. Noise started at 6:00 AM. Hvac in the room is very noisy but frankly it drowned out the external noise. People walking above also very noisy. But staff is good and o like the laminate floor instead of yechy hotel carpet. Great location
