Everything was okay I just didn't like that they didn't say that I had to put up a deposit on the website and the shower handle and room 217 was broken I just didn't have time to report it at that time it needs to be replaced if I was going to stay there more than 24 hours I would have reported it but I came in went to sleep woke up the next morning realize how damaged it was

Shortly after settling into our room I saw a baby roach on the bed. I called the front desk to explain what happened and before I could make a request the manager just said the room is clean because they get “sprayed” every 15 days but he would move me. A few minutes later the manager and his wife come to my room demanding to see the roach because I was lying and kept reiterating it gets cleaned every 15 days. The couple continued to speak in their language and finally blurted out in English that they were canceling and would give me my deposit back. I didn’t bother trying to argue I no longer wanted to stay the night so when I packed up everything back into my car I went to the front desk to get a receipt and my deposit but after I was handed my 100$ back the manager started speaking very loud almost yelling and said I had to cancel through Expedia and I asked for some type of receipt, a name, a number … no one wanted to give me anything. I felt like they were being sketchy and I wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to lose out on my refund as I already had to find a new hotel extremely last minute. Finally a younger guy who spoke English a bit more clearly explained the process for a refund and gave me their business card after i repeatedly asked for some proof that I didn’t request a cancellation because I too want to cover myself. Over all 10/10 DONT recommend

Motel refused to provide receipt.

Stay away from this shady place. This establishment is occupied by illegal immigrants, and an entire family lives in the front office. I made reservations through hotels.com for a one-night stay. I already received my receipt from hotels.com, but that’s not the issue. The front desk requested a $100.00 incidental deposit, which I completely understood and agreed to. I gave the front desk $100.00 in cash for the deposit and requested a receipt for my cash deposit for my records and assurance for when I check out. The front desk refused to give me a receipt for the cash deposit and was very adamant about not providing one. They claimed that they couldn’t give me a receipt for the cash deposit due to tax reasons. Not only is this incorrect and illegal, but it was also the most absurd excuse I have heard this year. I travel a lot, and I have never encountered a hotel or motel where the front desk refuses to provide a receipt if you are paying them directly. Not only is it ridiculous, but it’s also against the law. I asked for my cash deposit back and immediately reported them to hotels.com before leaving. I’m reporting these illegal immigrants to “ICE” first thing Monday morning and filing a civil suit against this shady hotel. I bet many unfortunate guests have never received their deposits back.
