Great location near Hyde Park and Paddington Station. Hotel was clean, staff were great. Rooms are small but plenty of hot water. No AC and it was warm out so a bit uncomfortable at night. Nice little bar and great breakfast.

Old English hotel charm. The property is faded but the staff is fabulous. It’s also convenient to Paddington and places to eat. Stayed there for a night every few years because it is safe, friendly and convenient.

We stayed at Mitre House Hotel on the evening of the 5th of May, 2025. It was chill in London with a steady breeze, and occasional rain. We had two rooms on the 4th floor. Mitre House Hotel is an old hotel and the rooms are small, very small by some standards. It’s quite worn. But it’s a superb value for the price, and the rooms are quite clean, in our limited experience. It is also very centrally located, a block from Paddington Station, and once at Paddington Station you can go anywhere in Great Britain. Mitre House Hotel is within walking distance of many great London venues such as Kensington Gardens and Harrods and more. We found that we walked six miles in one day because we went from one site to the next. Also there are a variety of restaurants with qualities ranging from poor to superb within walking distance. The staff was cheerful and effective, and the breakfast on the morning of May 6th just before our flights was classic English and well-prepared. All in all, we hope to come back to Mitre House Hotel as soon as possible.

The best thing about the Mitre was the staff. Each of them was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was small but clean and everything worked. Breakfast was very good.

The staff could not have been more accommodating!! From the front desk to the breakfast area to the housekeepers- everyone was friendly & helpful. The room was small but clean. A fan was available to keep us comfortable. The place is older but part of that is the charm.

Mostly great

The hotel is in an excellent location, close to Paddington and various shops and restaurants. The room was a bit shabby, but perfectly comfortable. The breakfast is good. But I wish they would not use disposable plastic table covers. More eco friendly would be great. The fish in the lobby are so sad, the water is filthy.

The rooms are clean, staff are friendly, wifi is good, breakfast is table service and quick and it’s close to all transportation links to get you around London. However it is dated, there are no real amenities and the rooms are tiny. my room had a double bed and no room for a chair. There was a kettle with tea and instant coffee.

The staff at the reception were very helpful and kind, and I have no complaints at all. Enjoyed chatting to them all at various times, and they were always eager to help. But the main compliments should go to your staff in the dining area. They were Brilliant!! Such wonderful staff, always smiling, and happy to welcome you, and always asked whether we wanted anything else. I can't praise them enough!! Kudos to them all!! Bravo...you should be proud of them. The only grouse, or criticism if I can call it that, was your heating....I had to call reception on two or three occasions to turn the heating on.....late in the night...it was really cold inspite of the additional blankets provided. And your elevators should be a bit quicker....But overall, a wonderful experience, and I would certainly stay there again in the future, and even recommend it to others. Thank you all so much.
