Love the Hotel Holms

I had an incredible time and will return again for sure. Excellent location and very clean. I don't eat breakfast so didn't need the extra breakfast option... but there are also a million places in the area to go. It's now my favorite place in London!!

The hotel is lovely especially the lounging areas and restaurant. The check-in person did not offer an upgrade. I asked about it since the Expedia info said to. She implied they were full which they certainly were not base on the Expedia website that showed many rooms were available. Then she said someone higher up from her needed to approve. By then I wished I hadn’t mentioned it. Anyways she did upgrade the room eventually, but it’s not the same after all that. I share this feedback to be helpful as you should either upgrade people cheerfully or not at all.

Loved the area. Very close to tube station Before arriving asked for an early check in at 12 midday which was approved. Did not receive the room until 3:10pm with no answer as to why. We were very upset about this as we had a long travel day. The hotel menu felt as if it needed a new alternative. Loaded with unusual dishes which did not take our fancy. Manage my could have went more above to provide apologies for this. Room was lovely once we received this. Lively bathroom and beds were ok. Bit on the hard side Would also like to highlight the incident in the bar on night one. Management are aware and had everything sorted and apologies sent to us All in all the hotel was fine. Good location for tube but could have done more in terms of communication and better front of house service

My stay at Holmes Hotel was the best place I’ve stayed in for this 2 week holiday (out of 6 hotels/B&Bs). There wasn’t any particular staff member that stood out because all were consistent in providing good service, from check in, housekeeping, front desk, in room dining & Kitchen@Holmes. I would like to commend the hotel on the WhatsApp feature that made any potential difficulties/issues I had resolved in a speedy manner. There were 2 nights that I tried multiple times to call the restaurant downstairs to order dinner but no one answered. I then sent a message to your staff via WhatsApp which then quickly resulted in the restaurant contacting me within minutes. There was also a time where I was out shopping but I had forgotten to ask housekeeping to replenish my bathroom amenities and so all I sent a message which was quickly relayed to housekeeping. When I came back shortly after, I had fresh towels and the housekeeping staff also kindly help to replenish the Nescafe coffee pods and mineral waters even without me asking. I will certainly be choosing Holmes Hotel for my next London trip!

Nice and cozy but not expect a regular hotel

Been a group of old houses all together this hotel results strange because it has short stairs in the middle of the hallway. But the hotel is very nice and cozy. We had a small problem with the shower but I guess it is not a common problems for all the rooms
