City centre weekend break in a fabulous location.

A weekend break in the city exploring a different part of London. I enjoyed staying at Clayton House, which is in a great location close to Bank tube station and Liverpool Street main line station. The area around the hotel is stunningly beautiful. Staff at the hotel were all exceptionally welcoming and friendly. Marta on reception was very welcoming. I liked the little touches in the room that made the stay extra special. Good coffee, bathrobes, nice products, a comfortable bed, recycling feature in the bins & much more. Breakfast was an especial delight. Maybe they need not have rushed to bring everything out in a hurry. Breakfast should be a leisurely affair. But that quibble aside, this has been an enjoyable stay made all the more agreeable by the staff at this hotel.

My fiancé and I were welcomed with complimentary champagne, and the check-in process was quick and easy. Our room was clean and very nice, and the service was truly impeccable. I definitely would recommend it.

I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times and it’s a great spot for getting around The City. The property is showing signs of wear and its age so could do with a spruce up. That said, the rooms are are good size and the bathrooms huge. Breakfast was delicious and service was exceptional.

Checkin wasn't until 230pm, however I arrived at 9am as I had a cancelled business meeting, I asked if I could check in early, and reception checked to see if a a room was available me and it was, so that was excellent . Gym was excellent, only issue was it was a bit hot. Breakfast excellent also top quality.
