"Kelly was a wonderful host. Since she had cancellations while we were there (Jan 2026) she upgraded us to the master with ensuite. There are 3 bedrooms in total. Everything was spotlessly clean and there were all kinds of snacks and coffee, tea, milk available. Kelly made lovely breakfast for us each morning and was so accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay. It is about 30 minutes drive from Hilo. You do need a car. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending this B&B. Thank you Kelly and Roger for a great stay as we explored the Hilo area."

"Jenny was very welcoming and we arrived in time for a brief tour of the home. The amenities met our needs in preparing for meals, the drive to the store is quite a ways away. So make sure you got your list and make your stops before heading into Fern Acres. It’s a beautiful place and an adventurous property. Amazing home! I would’ve never know the lifestyle in this style home, but it’s very beautifully set and modern.There’s lots of activities and games to do family time together. The back porch is perfect for outdoor sitting and watch the sunrise!!"

"We had an amazing time at the cabin. We only stayed 1 night but we wish we would’ve stayed additional nights. Jennifer is soo kind and so accommodating. Easily the most accommodating hosts we stayed with. The views from this cabin are STUNNING. It’s such a beautiful cabin. Highly recommend staying here if you visit Volcano. "
