20 minuet walk from Kyoto station. A Family Mart is right across the street so you can get anything anytime of day or night. The room windows would not open so no fresh air, the temp control is central so you cannot adjust the temp in your room but it was comfortable temp in the room however if you get hot there is no option they give you a small fan which works but was loud. Staff was really good and very helpful in calling a cab etc. Laundry is great you can wash your clothes and room was clean and they provided fresh towels and robe everyday.

We accidentally booked the wrong dates originally so the stay ended up costing us more than double the amount of money unfortunately so the price really raised our expectations for the stay. Was far too hot in the rooms as it’s an eco hotel so you can’t control your own heating/cooling. The breakfast has a lot of variety but the eggs are always cold and undercooked and the tofu options have meat in it so there’s not much for vegetarians. Between not being able to sleep in the night due to the heat and tainted vegetarian options I’d say the price tag wasn’t worth it. On the bright side the staff are very friendly and it is clean with frequent housekeeping and a good location.

No vegetarian food options. Most dishes for breakfast had pork. In the rooms cooling was not working and also they couldn’t fix it or do changes to the controls. Felt suffocation, so we opened the window and had a lot of traffic disturbance, too noisy, was difficult to sleep. Cannot recommend. Was not a peaceful stay

This hotel is a bit out of the way so you need to take a bus to get around. Quality is the same as other APA hotels. our room had no view (blocked window) but that wasn't too important to us. Big bathtub compared to some APA's I've been to

The staff were nice and kind. Were really helpful even with the language barrier. The rooms are always clean when you're in Japan. You can always count on cleanliness in Japan. Naturally, the room we had was a bit small from your average double-sized bedroom, but it was completely manageable with our 2 check in luggages and 2 carry on. Great price for what we got. Breakfast was okay, but useful if you don't want to worry about breakfast in the morning. Recommended stay for budget travellers.
