Good, but can be better

Hilton Country Club Plaza is a good hotel. The rooms a spacious and clean. Beds are comfortable. But it's showing its age. The hotel restaurant is not very good and it feels like the kitchen is very limited because the menu is quite limited. So, we ordered a pizza which had the same taste of a grocery store frozen pizza. The hotel is dog friendly and provides litter bags, but I wish they had a larger lawn for the dogs like the nearby Hampton Inn. So we ended up going across street.

We had to switch rooms due to a tick and blood on our bed. We also needed a new refrigerator. Then, when we got to our new room, there was a big clump of hair on the bathroom floor. Lobby and other facilities looked pretty good. One staff member was excellent and moved us and got us free breakfast right away. Other staff member told me that “maybe we can’t meet your accommodations and can help you find another hotel.” This was frustrating as well. I didn’t want to move, I just wanted a clean room. Overall very disappointed in our rooms but the rest of the hotel seemed nice.

We enjoyed our stay. Love the indoor outdoor pool for the kids. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Stayed in presidential suite. Perfect for a family. Had issues with the tv and the maintenance person responded quickly and resolved our problem. Great place on the Country Club Plaza.

Easy check in, clean room, very good food room service and in restaurant. Very nice staff. Coffee in lobby every morning as well as coffee makers in room. Convenient in/out self parking. Comfortable bed. Disappointed with no luggage rack, no closet tho there was a place to hang a few shirts. Only problem a poorly working, low, old toilet. Maintenance responded promptly but could not improve the situation.

Asked to get water from the empty beverage dispenser and the man said he would continue filling the refrigerator with the soda that he was working on and eventually refill the dispenser. There was also no water to buy. It was uppers 90s outside all day and night … our bathroom pocket door was broken and couldn’t be closed. The beds and linens were clean and comfortable but even though we had four adults staying in the room, only 3 towels were provided.

Our sliding pocket door between the bedroom and bathroom did not work. We didn't report it until we checked out, but the desk clerk did not seem to care about it. No "sorry for the inconvenience" or any response. It didn't seem like it mattered to her. We could tell the doorframe had been worked on previously (poorly).
