Royal National Hotel
"The staff were lovely, great service from everyone. The breakfasts were good, standard breakfast items but cooked/made well. Overall the room size was good, room to move and store suitcases (we had a triple room, 3 adults staying) and there were enough plugs by the beds for charging devices. The location was also fab, 15/20 min walk from Kings Cross and into Piccadilly/Leicester Square too, also, only a few minutes from the tube station at Russell Square. 3 things could have been better (and why I gave a 4, not 5): Ventilation in the bathroom wasn't great The windows are only single glazed so it was very noisy (you expect some noise being in the city, but this wasn't great, and I appreciate that it would be costly to upgrade, but I think it would be worth it) No plugs near enough to the only mirror (there was also not a lot of light at the mirror as it was recessed, and a wee shelf next to it would have been good too) so getting ready to go out was a bit of a challenge as we had hair straighteners to plug in We wouldn't rule out coming back, but not sure it would be a first choice given the above, but we still had a good stay!"
