"Our stay was during a planned orientation for the local university, because of the local natural disaster of flooding rains, the orientation was postponed. We checked in on time and the staff was super friendly. I did ask if we could have a a day, or two, comped since we had no control over the flooding rains, nor the postponed orientation. We were told no. I felt this was a little unfair, since again, we had no control over any of it and we did arrive on time for check in; as well as, we booked an appointment for the newly planned upcoming orientation. While there, we did walk around the grounds of the hotel. It is a well kept, and nice area to stay at. The room was very clean, and kept at a comfortable temperature. The smell in the room was almost like an old, musty smell. The local stores and shops were closed because of the flooding rains, so finding a place to eat or buy food at the stores was very difficult. We have another reservation coming up and hoping its better than the first."
