More than one week later, we are still waiting for a response to our request to reschedule our paid day or receive appropriate compensation. Our communication attempts have been ignored.We arrived at the property at 4:00 PM on Friday and had a pleasant first evening. However, at 9:00 AM the following morning, the electricity failed completely, leaving us without power. Unfortunately, this occurred on a day when we had important family obligations—my daughter's prom—and we needed to prepare accordingly.I immediately contacted the host, who dispatched a technician and promised arrival within one hour. The technician never arrived as promised. Over the next several hours, I called repeatedly, and the host continued to assure me of arrival "within the next hour," with no follow-through.Due to the lack of progress and approaching nightfall with mosquitoes present, we were forced to leave the property and pay out-of-pocket for salon services—an unexpected expense that should have been unnecessary.What we experienced:Failure to resolve the power outage in a timely mannerRepeated broken promises regarding technician arrivalNo alternative solutions or compensation offeredInability to use the accommodations we paid for in full
