This place is in need of a renovation. I don't think anything has been done to this property since it opened. When I came and got my room key I opened up the door and they haven't even cleaned the room pizza boxes on the floor unmade beds. I didn't even want to stay there after that

This hotel was terrible. It was old, nasty, and shady. We had to ask for a new room because how disgusting the first room they gave us. The breakfast was also disgusting. If you can afford to pay more to stay somewhere else, i would highly recommend it.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was quaint and very clean. Pools are amazing, beautiful ocean view, and attached restaurants, Rick's and Gaido's were outstanding. Breakfast was great, too. Don't waste your money on large, chain hotels, this place is relaxing and appears to be staffed by very friendly, kind locals.

The room was adorable. The pool and hot tub area was so cute. Bar attached to property you can order food/drinks by the pool. The parking was free and easy. The continental breakfast was amazing. Staff was really nice. Walking distance to Many restaurants and bars. Across the street from the water and there is a huge walking path along the beach. Would definitely go back. Great deal for a great experience!!

Gaido's Seaside Inn was an older property owned and operated by a family throughout the years. It has kept many of the older look but has been kept up with maintenance. I liked the look of our room. It was roomy and the air conditioner worked well for us. The beds were comfortable enough. I liked that it was quiet. The pool was cold but very clean and the seating around it was comfortable. We did not use the hot tub though. There are 2 restaurants on the property and I noticed in the stairwell to our room often had a strong fried everything smell. It never came inside our room though. The kitchen servers were so polite and friendly. I did not choose to get the eggs or sausage. I tried the pancakes and they were ok. The coffee was good and there was milk available to add to my coffee. There was creamer as well. The cereal variety was limited but tasted ok. The closeness to the beach was a real benefit. The parking was free and was protected behind a gate that was locked at night but had a code given to guests if you were out late. I think Gaido's is a reasonably priced place to stay in Galveston that is clean, quiet, and near the beach.

It was well kelp for older hotel. Beautiful court to set and eat breakfast or just enjoy the outside. Breakfast was good but same thing the following morning.. they are not pet friendly but i know not all animals are as good as mine as far as potty trained.

My room was in the older section, and yes it showed some age, but it was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It overlooked the parking lot, but was for the most part very quiet. There was a area you could walk over to and sit and watch the beach area.

Room was comfortable (air conditioning worked GREAT) and the restaurant options were great. We would stay there again if we found good prices like we did this week. Our only suggestion would be that the observation area could use some sprucing up. There is a beautiful view but the few plastic chairs sitting up there were a bit underwhelming.

Housekeeping should be more attentive to detail like cleaning under the beds, dusting the lights over the beds, cleaning the hair out of the bathtubs. I found all of that during my stay. Front desk staff was nice. I loved the ladies that ran the breakfast room. Very sweet and made sure you got enough food. Overall, very nice stay and I would definitely recommend.
