Total Dive Motel

As my child put it…. We got hotel-fished. The photos on the website look okay, figured it wouldn’t be a bad place to stay for a night. No way…. No how…. If I’d had a car. We would have left. It’s a total dive motel. From the door not sealing, leaving a gap between the door and the floor, big enough I could have stuck a bath towel in it, to the large clump of black hair in the shower, I feel like I need a bleach shower after leaving. Do not book. Spend the 20.00 or 30.00 bucks more to stay somewhere else.

We had reservations at Rodeway but were transported to their sister hotel Quality Inn in Hollywood because an entire international group checked out late. They offered a bottle of wine and a $20 food voucher but were put on a shuttle to Quality. We chose large 2 queen room and received a king small room at quality and were charged our rate at Rodeway. 7 ambulances, no on site restaurant and all doors opened out. The bathroom was so small you were shoulder to shower and wall and no room to adequately use the facilities. Was clean, black light showed biological stand but no bugs.

Very disappointing stay

The reservation was made and fully paid for 6 months ago. We arrived and were told they were overbooked and we would be staying at the hotel next door. It was definitely a step down and hotels.com offered the room there at $55 less than what we paid. You could see daylight all around the door, the towels were like paper towels they were so thin, everything was very tired and worn. The Rodeway offered us a coupon for 20% off our dinner at the restaurant which was fine, and "added" a free transfer from the airport, free transfer to the cruise port and free breakfast - all things already provided for free in the hotels.com description. Very very disappointed.

We showed up with reservations from 6 months prior only to be told hotel was overbooked and we had to go 20 minutes to their sister property. When we arrived the rooms were not ready and that motel was very run down. We didn’t get in our rooms til6:30 and almost 8. It was ridiculous!

Shuttle service

Shuttle service offered good however too long of a wait (1 hour) at airport to take to hotel. Driver was very rude almost yelling about the problem wasn’t him But the hotel staff.

This was a nice property with a pool and restaurant on site. Like the dayroom rental, we got back into port early and had 8 hours before our flight, nice to have a room to relax in and enjoy the amenities. My only complaint was how long check in took and the desk staff were not very friendly.
