Club Quarters Hotel Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia
"The front desk staff is not welcoming at all, except for a gentlemen who might be security and he should have their jobs. He was very helpful and went out of his way to help everyone, no exceptions. The other staff is locked under a scripted regime and don’t smile or make eye contact - as if they are not allowed to speak. The snack bar is another horrible way to trick customers to pay high prices for things they are not aware are for a fee. The list stating the prices of each item was hidden behind the snacks and it should be in visible view plastered to the wall instead. We ended up eating a chocolate bar for $7, waste of $. And the housekeeper woke us up 3 different times to check if we are still there, and the first knock was at 9:30am, 10:45am, 11:30am and 12:05pm and they were aware we checked in close to midnight the night before and was asked not to be disturbed, and that we’ll check out @ 12:30PM. And the morning manager walks around with a notebook and knocked at 12:05PM with an attitude and I felt like I was being pushed out. Her tone is the worst thing for this job and the way she interacts with the housekeepers is not something I would recommend at a hotel, especially, the walls are thin and they are guests around. She should be behind a desk with no interactions with anymore. And lastly, they should serve breakfast: maybe a chef who can make breakfast for those who rather stay in. The hotel is Club Quarter, yes, everything is small. Great choice of name!"
