The location of this hotel cannot be beat. Right in the middle of all the historical sites. The staff were all very friendly. However, one day we did not have maid service and had to call for towels and the other things like coffee and cups were not refilled that day. Also, there is limited restaurant availability but they do have some. The bar was very nice. The pool is small but no big deal since little time in a place like Philadelphia is spent in the pool. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

We stayed during the recent heatwave after a friends wedding in Nottingham. We wanted to explore the city, but with limited time wanted to be able to visit the landmarks easily. Excellent location and with it being so hot the rooftop pool was amazing to cool off after walking around. Nice bathrooms, large fridge, nice tv, good AC, all around very comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful as well. All around great stay.

This is a lovely older hotel in a very convenient location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There were a lot of restaurants (Japanese, Italian, Asian, Irish pubs, Cuban)within a few blocks of the hotel. Getting to Reading Terminal, Penn's Landing, Independence Hall, City hall, and so many other tourist sights was walkable. They have a nice restaurant/bar where we enjoyed night cap. The rooms are a little dated/worn and my son's room had problems with both the sink and shower not draining, but they did send someone immediately to fix them. I would stay here again when in Philly.

Disappointed.

I paid a couple hundred dollars to stay here for a single night. As soon as we arrived in the room, I was disheartened by the extremely poor and ugly view from the window. Then, after walking around in 100 degree weather all day, I discovered the shower wouldn’t drain and only spat out lukewarm water. Every other hotel I’ve ever been in would’ve given us a new room (and perhaps a better one for our inconveniences.) but this hotel chose to send up a plumber to fix the issue. The plumber took probably 20 minutes to arrive and was swearing the whole time. Then, the air conditioning hardly worked and the room was quite muggy despite there being a heat wave going on. Definitely not a comfortable place to be after coming inside. Will not be returning.

Worse hotel ever

We found what appeared to be feces I a drawer the room phone did not work the bathroom sink did not drain and leaked the ice machine did not work the supervisor on duty was of little help and would not give us a new room no one told us you had to request your to be cleaned Rachel’s day. The elevator key swipe on one side was broken this hotel needs a complete upgrade

Building is in decent shape but customer service is lacking. Phone does not work from the room and when finally able to contact the front desk and submit our request for towels - no towels were ever brought to us. Bathroom was not properly cleaned and all hallway noise could be heard inside the room. Not worth the price point.
