Rooms are dated. Smelled of stale cigarette smoke, likely not from a recent guest but rather soaked into the walls and furnishings from previous decades. Otherwise fine. Surely there already is a plan to renovate the rooms over the following years.

Stay was good. The gentleman in the front counter extended extra help when we requested a microwave and a fridge. He was very helpful and courteous. We weren't able to get his name to thank him. The view was perfect.

We booked at the Château Lacombe because we were travelling with the pet. When you put the pet friendly search feature into Expedia, it gives you a choice of rooms. We chose a junior suite as it was an option that was available. We decided to extend our stay, and when we went down to extend the room, we were confronted by a manager, who informed us that we couldn’t have our dog in that room. As a result, they moved us to a smaller room that lacked all the basic amenities of the 21st-century. If you have electronics are require electricity you won’t get it. The service overall was poor and the managers attitude was rude at best.

Our first time here. Charged an early check in fee for checking in prior to 4pm. Would have taken this into consideration when price and location comparing at booking time. Had to ask about oversized vehicle parking a couple of times as it was unclear. A couple of hours ahead, we tried calling ahead twice to ask where to park. Desk hung up and then didn’t answer the second time. Customer service at the desk was lovely and helpful with questions when we arrived. Welcoming atmosphere. Decent room.

This place is pretty run down. My room was fine, nothing special. I had a nice river valley view but it doesn’t seem like they’ve washed the windows in 10 years,’my view was basically mud, On my first night my car was vandalized, drivers window smashed and my interior was damaged. There wasn’t really anything worth stealing so not sure if I even lost anything of value. I spoke with the front desk asking if they had any insurance to assist in the repair but they basically said tough luck, they did refund me my parking fee. The breakfast in the dinner was fair, but the waitress on the second morning didn’t seem to care about the patrons at alll. One star, avoid, I wouldn’t come back.
