The house was cute, looked like the pictures. We received instructions for check in to our email, but booking through Expedia vs VRBO meant it was harder to figure out communication. But if I needed to reach out for anything, I’m sure it would have been fine.
A few things to note.
1. The house is more than 100 years old, and you can tell with the uneven floors. I wouldn’t recommend this house for older/unsteady people.
2. There were ants in the kitchen. Luckily for us it wasn’t awful, but definitely killed about 10 each time I went into the kitchen for anything.
3. Could be the nature of rude guests taking things, but definitely not enough silverware for all of us to use, which is definitely a pet peeve of mine as we’re a large family. Otherwise the kitchen looked well equipped with dishes, and cooking stuff.
4. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. There’s a lovely coffee shop across from a nice park about two blocks away which we walked to every day.
5. The master bathroom shower was leaky somewhere, so there was standing water on the floor after it was used. Again, we just cleaned it up, but could present a slippery surface for someone not paying attention.
We didn’t spend a ton of time in the house so it fit our needs for the most part. We enjoyed putting together the puzzle they had, and the beds were comfortable, with individual AC units in most rooms.
