Overall a great stay
I’ve been to dauphin island before and knew the area. The house was lovely. Although it was a short walk to the beach, it was not clearly defined. A single plaque with an arrow didn’t align with where you needed to go and path was not cleared. The other issue was the grill they advertised. The one available to use was rusted and under the house and with all the rains, sat in 6-8 inches of water until two days before we left. The lack of garbage pick up, even though we had the cans at the street on the days required was frustrating. I did reach out to the homeowner and it took 4 days to respond to the concerns I had. We found out later that the tub shown in the pics was not a functioning jacuzzi tub. I will give kudos that he stopped by after a bad storm to see house the house was. The house was nice, proximity to the beach was ok and doable. While they had an abundance of plates and utensils, baking sheets were limited. This was also my first vrbo that had no seasonings left behind. I can understand food, but not even oils or spray Pam. The pictures are not completely accurate and should be updated. The neighbors a house away were more helpful at answering questions we had. Overall cleanliness was decent. Most motorways the tub and the jets. However there was not a single rug to help with sand or debris we bought one so it would help keep us from sweeping several times a day. The deck area was nice and it locked so it helped with having a dog.
