Fort Pontchartrain Detroit, a Wyndham Hotel
"Overall it's a really good hotel in the heart of downtown Detroit, and the lowest cost of the premium hotels in the area. The location across the street from Huntington Place is a major plus. The staff is uniformly friendly and efficient. The bed is comfortable, plenty of towels. I had a limited mobility room which was well designed but might be a problem if a guest had a full-size wheelchair due to limited space between the bed and the built-in desk. Minor issues: *The Roku TV doesn't offer local broadcast stations or cable news, just choices from the Roku world. Thankfully I had my iPad and a YouTube TV subscription (the wifi is excellent!). *Overnight parking is an outrageous $45. *The door to my room stuck to the point where it was difficult to open. *You'll need a ride-share to get to a good restaurant. Downtown parking makes self-driving unrealistic."
