The hotel is very well managed and offers a comprehensive continental style breakfast starting at 5am. The staff was very attentive despite some challenges with room key readers. An amazing Italian restaurant is within walking distance. Great jumping off point for our fly fishing group!

The property is being renovated so understandable that there may be issues. In the room we received the toilet was leaking and they were great to move us to a different room although the second room was smaller and there was an issue with the air conditioning unit. We were able to open the window which was helpful but

When we checked in, the woman had a hard time explaining to us where we were staying. Turns out we were in a building next-door. She told us we had to take all our luggage outside. To get to our room. But it turned out a bellhop was there and he said we could go across a indoor connecting walkway. I could not get our TV volume on for quite a while. There’s only one night stand. It’s very disappointing for $200 a night.

Great deal for the price

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was roomy, clean, quiet with a nicely remodeled bathroom. Complimentary breakfast was pleasant and fresh. The shuttle to the airport was on time and proficient. Good hotel for a good price. We would recommend to friends and family

When i arrived, after 5pm, they still didnt have a room ready. Short staffed which i get. But for an additional 2hours then moving me to another room after sitting in the lobby for that time( left to get food real quick then came back to wait). I will NOT stay here ever again. Check in was 3pm. We arrived at 4:15pm BUT did not get in the room until 8:00pm. Said staff did not come in to clean rooms. No updates. No offer for anything. I should not have to pay for 5 hours. Management left at 5:00pm. So so disappointed.

Avoid the Puffin Inn in Anchorage at all cost.

The phone in the room didn't work, the heating and cooling system was so loud you couldn't sleep, the TV in the room did not work, and I reserved a shuttle for 3:00 a.m. for a 5:00 a.m. flight and was told at 3:00 a.m. when I was to leave that they would not leave until 3:30. When the driver did get ready to leave he made all of the passengers on the shuttle load and offload their own luggage. Luckily I made my flight. I will never stay at the Puffin Inn in Anchorage again.

The shuttle service from airport to hotel was convenient and a great driver. The check in process was great with a very helpful employee. Our travel date was a Sunday, so several restaurants were closed, but we ate at a convenient (walkable) and delicious chowder place. Fast food is also walking distance. The hotel staff was very helpful with shuttle service back to the airport. Breakfast was hot with a variety and delicious. The hotel staff worked hard to replenish when things were low. A great layover place between airport and cruise ship.

As a 68 year old woman and a 73 year old husband coming off a plane at 11:00pm at night they put us out side on the second floor of the second building which we had to carry our suit cases up because there was no elevator. I will call the motel and make reservations rather than going through expeedia again.
