Dumpster is too nice of a word to describe this place but it's the first thing to come to mind! There is no free breakfast but they never tell you you're going to be charged for it. It is good food however. That was literally the only good part of my stay there, and I sure didn't pay for it. The price is ridiculous. The staff is all temporary J1 employees from the Phillipines who don't seem to know how to their jobs and don't seem to care about the guests. And most of them live at the hotel. The elevator is the slowest junk heap I have ever seen, and the place only has 3 floors! And most of all, Reagan at the front desk is rude and extremely unprofessional, and night security Liska spies and narcs on guests but doesnt do anything to actually secure the building. Homeless people dumpster dive at this place daily and security or nobody else does anything. Building is old and worn down and in an extremely unsafe part of downtown. Actually all of downtown Anchorage Alaska is unsafe! If you go on vacation there stay far away from downtown. Thats not the real Alaska anyways. I will never stay at this place ever again as long as I live if I ever go back to Anchorage. Shame on you Four Points. Someone shoulf call Marriott Bonvoy Corporate Office on them. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!

Even compared to other Four Points properties we’ve stayed at, this one is bad. Room 325 smells like wet dog, the toilet runs, the bathroom door isn’t hung correctly and can’t close, and there’s a lot of noise from the elevator immediately in the hall or the addicts hollering after midnight in the parking lot. Just not a good place/ except for the wonderful staff.

The Staff was very helpful and breakfast was excellent! For a "suite" the rooms were smaller than expected but comfortable. There were blackout shades to keep out the midnight sun. The property was centrally located to walk around downtown.

Location was absolutely excellent. Pretty much everything you could want is within walking distance. The fitness room was well equipped. Overall the room wuality was very good. Would be an easy 4/5 stars if not for a couple things: 1. The key card access to the side doors didn't work 2. There was no microwave in the rooms despite there being plenty of space above the fridge 3. The sun shade didn't fully cover the window and the gap at the bottom allowed considerable light in - which is a slight issue in the land of the midnight sun (a blackout curtain would have been more effective imo) 4. The elevator was extremely slow

They were obviously having some type of computer system error when I tried to check in around 9:30pm. The staff was friendly but frazzled due to the issue and had to deal with less patient guests also tryingbto check in. We all had reservations. They were unable to determine which rooms had been cleaned and were available. It took about an hour for me to receive my room, and still, they were not able to issue me a key that night; the staff had to let me in to my room with a masterkey. I was not able to get a key until the next morning. Overall the room was clean with comfortable bed/pillows.

The room and location was perfect. If you like walking and exploring, you can get to the many restaurants and bars plus sites nearby. They will also safely store your luggage if necessary. Overall, we enjoyed our time in Anchorage thanks to the Four Points.

Most of the staff smiled and was gracious, but some were not. The room had few amenities: no waste baskets, no hair dryer, the coffee pot was not plugged in and I had to unplug a lamp and move the desk and get on my hands and knees to plug it in. On the other hand, there was a USB port right on the nightstand. That was very handy. I loved the bed and the couch was very comfy.

Good location. Friendly front desk staff. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Good in room coffee. Good laundry facility. Lousy, lousy housekeeping service. We stayed for 7 nights and our room was cleaned ONCE. WE EVEN REMINDED ROOM CLEANERS TO CLEAN OUR ROOM TO NO AVAIL. WE secured clean towels every afternoon from the carts ourselves. We removed our own rubbish from our room. This was the only black mark but it’s a major one.

Traveling with a coworker to check out Anchorage since we are working with native populations in a village. We’re first placed in a first floor room facing parking lot with old water damaged carpet. Front staff was able to move us after a bit of complaining. They do have security on sight. The second day maid service skipped our room and management had no idea why. Maids never replaced sugar for coffee. The room is oddly designed. Only one sink outside the bathroom. The toilet doesn’t have a lid so you can’t put your clothes anywhere when showering. Just not comfortable. During checkout they were accommodating by letting us check out late and kept our luggage since we had a late flight. It’s a close walk to downtown. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Would have been better to just stay at the Hilton since this place’s rates are not low enough to make up for its shortcomings.
