The outside looked as if a semi had run into the outdoor portico ceiling. A huge hole was in the roof roped off my a planter and construction tape. Dirty interior, cobwebs, dismal, curtains dirty and wrinkled. Continental breakfast was a joke. The hours indicated online were short 2 hours. Smokers were observed right outside the premises near the exit door. If 0 was a score, it would have it. Upside, Lori, front desk personnel was a pleasant presence. Can't say the same for Virginia. I guess "too true, a good deal" is exactly what you pay for. Would never recommend, except to a worse enemy! Read reviews... FIRST!

I wasn't too happy upon check in to find out about the $60.00 deposit for damages to the room. Even though I was told it was refundable and I did get my money back, I have NEVER experienced this is any of my hotel stays anywhere. We had an unexpected power outage at our home during a recent storm and needed a place to stay last minute. Thankfully, we found the Holiday Inn Express—and even more thankfully, we were helped by Dawn at the front desk. She was incredibly kind, patient, and understanding during a stressful situation. Dawn made sure we were taken care of and found us a comfortable room quickly. The room was clean, cozy, and exactly what we needed.
