Room was small. Bathroom with large tub was good. Breakfast was very disappointing and service was poor. Food was cold and limited and we waited 30 minutes for my wife’s meal to arrive after I finished mine. This theme was consistent with guests around us.

The staff are great, the service was excellent. My room, on the 4th floor had no view except for the apartment across the alley. I was quite disappointed as we booked almost 6 months in advance. (Maybe it’s because we used Expedia?) We were very much looking forward to having dinner at their rooftop restaurant, but it was booked for a private event so we’re were crammed in the back of a tiny balcony with an underwhelming view - but the happy hour appies helped make up for it. We went for breakfast at the hotel (which was not part of our stay) and that was also a bit underwhelming (a dry waffle and they were out of syrup) and it was very-very expensive, so we avoided eating there. The location is good but when I go back I think I’ll just opt for staying on Davie Street as it’s more accessible to food and drinks.

I thought the property location was good, I just really expected higher quality... everything. The rooms were clean-ish, but had some hair left in the sink + something on the walls, the ceiling was leaking in the hallway, the spa was closed, and everything just smelled a little off. I want to be clear, this is not a bad place to stay, I think I just had slightly higher expectations.

Every staff member was wonderful to work with. The hotel is beautiful and there are so many restaurants within 5-10 minute walk. There are multiple parks with children playgrounds within 10-15 minute walk. The train station is about a 10-15 minute walk, then two stops to the Gastown area. (I highly recommend tequila taco to eat, close to the hotel!) The hotel rooms were clean and lovely. The onsite breakfast restaurant is absolutely fabulous. The food is wonderful. The rooftop bar is beautiful, though food options are limited. This was a wonderful stay and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
