There was plenty of food choices. We liked the specialty restaurants. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The place was kept clean, and there was activities around the pool area all day, plus entertainment every night. We liked how the resort was next to the beach. We would highly recommend staying at the Occidental Nuevo Vallarta.

The staff was always lovely and accommodating. The food selection was not very good being a gluten free person. The amenities were good but there needs to be more options for shade near the pool and beach. Entertainment I would provide more options for things to do.

Room was noisy. Sliding screen door extremely noisy. Male waiters were rude. No jacuzzi for regular clients. Deserts were very limited. No food by pools.

The entire resort was immaculate. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us. They gave me a beautiful cake for my 75th birthday! The food was excellent and we had proffesional shows on stagd every night, in addition to all the other activities. The beach was incredible and so clean!

We stayed for a week. Was very impressed. The staff were amazing, couldn't ask for more helpful and courteous people. The grounds people kept immaculate. The wait staff were on point , made sure u had everything you needed, from drinks by the pool, in the restaurants they cleared your plates and kept your drinks full. The chefs and cooking staff catered to u whether in the a-la- carte or the buffet. Food was excelent, better than expceted. Lots of variety. The entertainment staff kept u busy all day if u wanted and left u alone if u wanted to chill..Our housekeeper was amazing. Or room was spotless everyday. They have a security staff, that kept an eye on us all day.There were zero issues, but if someone was doing something they weren't supposed to they addressed it immediately so it to get out of hand. They were great guys.The room was big, bed was huge, comfortable, pillows were awesome, lots of water pressure in the shower. Fridge was restocked daily. The pool, beach,tennis courts all amenities were well taken care of. We had a amazing, memorable trip. Definitely will be returning. 10/10 for us.

Room was not in good condition, all 3 rooms we had smelled of mold, were dirty and one of them had an active leak under the bathroom sink. 2 of us got sick immediately after spending the night in the rooms. The hallways smell of mold, the window coverings are trashed and don’t cover the windows like they should. They only provided 3 towels total for 2 people and if you ask for more, they want to replace the ones you have, not give you any extra. The showers are missing doors, so water just gets all over the floor when you shower. There are 2 pools, only one of them is open to “regular” guests, the other pool and only hot tub is only for “royal” people…but rarely used while we were there. Most of The staff seemed irritated that we were there. Food was good. I would not recommend anyone to stay here until it’s remodeled.

Would have 5 stars if we did not get moved after first two nights . Room was filled with sewer smell . Was vey bad . They might bed us to another room and all went well from there . We decided to do Royal Upgrade and it was worth it . Menu choices were all minimal at all restaurants. But prepared well. Buffets were your usual fair. Breakfast on the Royal Level was fantastic. Service from Antonio/Marisol above and beyond expectations. This resort also has two small pools and could use another one .
