We had an issue with the cleaning staff stealing items out of our bags, such as a wallet and expensive sandals. We emailed the hotel but they did not respond. Most of the food was good except for the Steakhouse. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place.

Great family vacation with many activities for all age levels. Only downfalls were the ability to get dinner at the steakhouse was impossible and the lack of room service was not great but bearable. The AC did not seem to work well anywhere. Restaurants and Bars were hot and room didn’t ever get cold. Needs some work on these things for sure, but for not being a palace level resort, I get it.

The property is lovely. The buffet was better than the restaurants. The location of the room was not great. Because we needed two queen beds, we were put in a room on the ground level with the view of several outbuildings. The room was adjacent to a staff room, so there was often a lot of noise when people were coming and going. We got a great rate for the five days we were there, there was great value for the cost

We got a room with partial ocean view. It was one of the rooms in the south or north wing. The sunset view will face the wing in between. Lots of pool, lots of dining options and all the staff were respectful and helpful.

1st time to do an all inclusive hotel, RIU Vallarta did not disappoint. We stayed on rooms 2024, 2023, 2030, 2029. There were hiccups on our checkin such as - Rooms with twin bed together instead of separated. Safe not working. Leaking shower glass. There was a leak from the fridge on room 2024. They fixed it asap. The food in the main buffet was not updated, we have been there for 6 days and food had been the same. The specialty restaurants are good options for dinner though I wouldnt rate it the best - atleast there is are other options available. I didn't expect that the food will be top notch - but the service of the wait staff are always good. We always tip after eating. The drinks in the bar are watered down, we had many mojitos and never tasted any alcohol, there are alcohol inside the room to consume. Going from hotel to Bucerias or PV downtown is easy by using Uber. The hotel staff are the jewel of this resort, they are always helpful and attentive. The pools are always cleaned. It was a good 1st time experience for an all inclusive hotel. We'll try other RIU hotels.

clean room but mattress should be updated. it was making a noise whenever i turn on my sides. staff provided quick service and friendly. food menu should be updated per season. drinks were great. pools should be clean daily— there were bugs and the water was unclear. hotel taxi was pricier than uber but were available right away. unable to use resort credit because you can only use it at the spa as a discount coupon - $30 or less per selected service. there were activities for the whole family throughout the whole day. we also did excursion and we went with the hotel rep and she was lovely. overall we had a awesome 7 days!
