Great location for our brief stay in Tulsa during our road trip with easy access on site parking (small charge). Not much shopping/dining options in the immediate vicinity of the hotel but we used it as a base for a couple of days whilst visiting other nearby areas & attractions. We would stay here again if we return to Tulsa.

Unfortunately, upon our arrival we were greeted by a surpass homeless man walking around the front entrance. We decided to go ahead and check in and see the inside of the place. We checked in adn were directed to the parking garage, a small, single story structure adjacent to the hotel, with just a handful of spots. We discovered that the same homeless man had decided to set up camp in the lot. Upon parking the car we discovered a second homeless man living in the parking garage. Needless to say we were taken aback. Then we walked to the elevator to go into the hotel but a sign said it was out of order and to use the stairs, they were locked. We had to walk back past both men, up a hill to the front door, and down the hall to our room to find the homeless man right outside our window. We checked out immediately and found other arrangements. I filed a claim with the insurance we purchased through Expedia and it was denied because I didn’t have picture proof to upload (why would someone take a picture of a half naked homeless man?) and now I’m out $230 for a room I was in for less than one minute. I’m disappointed in la Quinta, Expedia, and the insurance company. We got a great room with valet and breakfast at the Hyatt for less than $160. What’s up with that?

A Safe, Clean, Economical Choice Downtown

This hotel was reasonably priced for a downtown hotel across from the convention center. Our room was simple, clean, well-maintained. The staff were every helpful. If I were staying in downtown Tulsa again, I would probably choose this property again.

Their reservation Internet was down when I arrived and the individual who greeted me was exceptionally rude toward me and appeared incompetent to handle an apparent problem with their electronic problem. I provided him my reservation number but he threatened to call the security and have me removed from the property. I would not recommend this facility to anyone!!

Hotel was clean and staff was great. Had trouble getting wash rags but the hotel was sold out and know they were busy. Had a good breakfast and it was very close to the venue. Did not know so many homeless people were in Tulsa , no one bothered us but made sure we walked in a group.
