"Our stay at this Eastham cottage was better than we imagined. The location is impeccable and a very short walk to a private entrance on a bayside beach. The sunsets on that beach were nothing I’ve seen before on the cape and I go every year since I was a child. Our little toddler loved playing in the water, chasing seagulls, and walking back to the cottage. The hosts are very responsive and flexible ensuring we have everything we needed. The cottage is beautiful and the perfect space for small or medium sized groups, with lots of space to relax and spread out — living room with fireplace and tv, screened in porch and outdoor porch and yard. We can’t wait to come back!"

"The cottage was very clean, cute, and had some thoughtful touches that I appreciated, including coffee, tea, cookies, and a lovely lavender sachet. It was clear that care had been taken to make the space welcoming.There were, however, a few things that made my stay less comfortable than I had hoped. I did not find the furniture in either the living or kitchen areas particularly comfortable. The fold-out sofa in the porch/living area was especially difficult to sit on because of the hard edge of the sofa mechanismMy biggest disappointment was the beach access. From the listing, I had the impression that the cottage was practically on the beach. In reality, the beach is about a five-plus-minute walk away and requires going down two sets of very steep stairs. . carrying a kayak down them was out of the question.I had an uncomfortable interaction when I texted Tara because I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the heat. After a couple of texts, she said she would be right there at a very inconvenient time without first asking me. When I explained that I wasn’t familiar with the heating system, the response felt dismissive rather than helpful. It was an interaction that left me uncomfortable.There were certainly things I liked about the cottage, particularly its cleanliness, charm, and thoughtful extras. But between the uncomfortable furnishings, the beach access, and that interaction, the overall experience wasn’t quite what I wanted ."

"This was our second year staying at this house. The location is absolutely perfect, only 3/10’s of a mile to the private beach. Short walk to enjoy phenomenal sunsets. The house is exactly as described. Kitchen has everything you need and everything is in great working condition. The house is very clean and well maintained. Beds are comfortable and having sheets and towels provided is a bonus! Just show up with your pillow (if you can’t sleep without it) and you’re good to go. The host is wonderful with communication responding in a timely manner. There are air conditioning units in each bedroom and the living room which help keep the house nice and cool during the hot summer months. If you’re a biker, the Cape Cod Rail Trail is an easy bike ride to get to. Thank you for sharing your “little piece of paradise” with us!"

"The cottage is smaller than expected, even for a cottage, but it was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. The beach is only steps away and there is a great view of the bay from the yard. We enjoyed the property and surrounding areas. Sunsets were stunning!!"
