"Great location in The Black Hills. Easy to come and go to various activities. The owner was quick and easy to communicate with. The kids (7, 9, 11) had a grand time exploring the property and roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. I REALLY appreciated having the basics - coffee filters, tissues, foil, salt/pepper, oil. "The Pondside Lodge was a splendid place to stay for our trip to South Dakota! The lodge is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The living room picture window looks out over the pond and the Needles are clearly visible in the distance. It is a very relaxing location - quiet and lovely. We saw turkeys and deer every day going to and from the lodge. The lodge is a short drive to the Custer Wildlife Loop (spectacular!), the Needles Highway (amazing!), and Sylvan Lake (stunning!). Custer, just a few miles up the road, offers many delicious options for dinner, and the kitchen in the lodge is well-equipped if you want to eat in. I recommend the Pondside Lodge wholeheartedly for a restful vacation!"
