"First timer! I stayed here 3 nights on a solo trip. The resort is overwhelmingly big & was a lot busier than I expected. Gorgeous decor, very modern & chic. Staff overall were friendly however the only negative I would mention is each night I crossed over to the main hotel (I was staying at Sorrento) I felt like I was going through security by one of the staff. I did not get his name but each time I passed by him he gave me a look like he was ready for an interrogation. I had to present my room key (which is fine & understandable) and I had to explain to him where I was going. I’m not sure if this is what is supposed to occur but I did tell him where I was headed. His tone was very rude and he spoke to me as if I was a child (I’m young appearing but in my late 30’s) I don’t know if it’s because I was traveling alone but it was an odd exchange each time I passed him. The other encounter was one man who was standing at the entrance of the main pool had me show him the contents of my beach bag (a book, iPad, water, sunglasses). No one else asked me to do this and perhaps it’s because my bag appeared bulky but never the less, I felt like I was going through airport security instead of walking to the pool. I had a junior suite however was disappointed that my “ocean view” was actually a large amount of palm trees obstructing the ocean. Food & spa were amazing. "
