The hotel was great. Liked the room and amenities. The Lounge had very slow service. Even after Shark's fan were not there.

Hotel was adequate. Many of the amenities are not open in the evenings on Mon-Tues and the rest of the week they close at 9pm including room service. There is an additional $14.95 charge for amenities which cover things that are usually free at other properties. I will look for another hotel next time I’m in town.

Be advised if you booked a double queen room...

Location: The airport is nearby, so if you have the windows open, you hear the planes overhead.
The hotel has a bit of a hipster vibe, and is beautfully decorated. However, the queen rooms are on floors 2, 3 and 4 only. The hotel is in the city and when you are on the second floor, it is loud. The air conditioning in our room was extremely loud when it turned on. Luckily, as it cooled down outside overnight, it ran less frequently. The staff is very nice and the rooms are large. Our room phone did not work, so we had to use our cell phones to call the main number to get our car, etc. The coffee in the restaurant in the morning is not good (at all) if you are used to quality coffee. Overall, if staying on a higher floor with a room that has no air conditioning noise issues, it would be a very nice stay.

Love the historical look of this hotel. The beds are comfy, the room was very spacious for a family of 5, & staff were exceptional. I wish the hotel had a microwave & a swimming pool for the kids.

Nice hotel right downtown

Our room was very clean, windows opened slightly which was nice (very uncommon), the entire building had a sort of 1920's Grest Gatsby feel that we loved. The front desk staff seemed a little grumpy and short staffed, thankfully we only stayed one night and went to an event so contact with that was limited and didn't bother me too much. My main complaint is how much my room service bill was and how gross the food was for what I paid. Wouldn't suggest that!

Pillows are to big and too fluffy

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet, late night snacks, free videos
Cons: view was a roof of next building
We went to this hotel for our anniversary. Loved it!! Looks like a hotel from an old movie. Very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There are about 200 free videos to borrow. LOVE LOVE then late night 'raid the pantry'. Feels like you are sneaking into someones kitchen. Evening turn down service. I definitly recommend it.

looks nice, but....

The hotel is very pretty in the common areas and the room was nice. Good maid service, nice turndown with 2 chocolates each night. We did experience no hot water on 4 different times in our 10 days there. Watch the $ nightly valet fee. Just go park your car at the nearby $ lot like they do and keep your $. They have a ""raid our pantry"" feature that offers a plate of salami, cheese, processed ham and turkey, a couple of loaves of bread (not too fresh) apples and oranges and cookies. They do not change this variety at all. Very boring for a hotel of this caliber. I really expected more. Front desk is available 24 hrs, one outstanding employee who I am not allowed to metion, the rest couldnt care less. For the price, I would book elsewhere.

Hotel De Anza (San Jose)

This is a nice hotel in walking distance of downtown San Jose. The restaurant is very nice and the ""Raid Our Pantry"" feature is a nice way to get a late night snack for free. My only complaint is that the hotel charges almost * a day for internet service. That is just crazy. They do have free wireless if you want to sit in the lobby. Easy access to light rail and then on to the San Jose airport.

Absolutely LOVE this Hotel

I have stayed in San Jose a few times. This is by far my favorite Hotel. I love the restaurants so close to the Hotel and just a quick walk to HP Pavilion. My favorite part has to be "Raiding" the Pantry when i get back to the Hotel and this Pantry also serves a nice continental breakfast with a great seating area. The staff is very helpful and friendly and i always feel safe there. I was worried about the airplane noise but didnt hear a thing the entire night!

Great location, helpful staff

If you are attending any events at the HP Pavillion in San Jose, this hotel is only a short walk away. The staff was very helpful answering questions and making recommendations. The Guadalupe path is close by for a nice running location. There were always cookies and fruit available at the front desk and the free ""pantry"" had good snacks in the evening.
