Overall great stay. However, the food was the absolute worse Ive ever had. Pizza looked old and I over heard the customer complain to staff about it. Breakfast was horrible. I ordered off the menu thinking the food would be fresh but my food was cold when it came out. I sent it back and the hash browns still taste old and stale. The grits stuck to my teeth and the bacon was old. Very disappointing to have paid $88 for 2 adults and 1 child and we didn't even eat our food.

We were pleasantly surprised with Moody Gardens Hotel! Honestly 1 of the nicest hotels we have stayed at. We took our toddler to Moody Gardens for a full day (which we highly recommend), so we decided to stay here for 2 nights (other hotels looked old/outdated online). It was a short walk, which allowed us to come back to the hotel if needed (nap/snacks, etc). It was clean (i didnt feel like i needed to wear house sandals, which i normally do at hotels). We enjoyed the pool (no kiddie area, but we had a floatie)- towels are available, and it was a short drive to the beach/Seawall/restaurants. It was off-season and a weekday, so it was very quiet and affordable ($108 total for both nights). Free and plentiful parking. Felt safe. No included breakfast, but we did grab items from the Moody Cafe downstairs. (Good lattes, breakfast sandwiches, and chocolate croissants.) Didnt try any of the restaurants on-site, and didnt get to check out the gym either. By staying at the hotel, you can purchase discounted Moody Gardens tickets ($45 vs $60 early online purchase/$80 at the door). Just ask the receptionist for a code. We would definitely return!

The property was good, needs a little updating but over all fine. Should let quest know before arrival that the steakhouse has a dress code. The waiting staff in the cafe needs more help, not enough staff for the number of guest. Had to wait for drinks and tickets. Buffet is a little overpriced for what is on the buffet. But over all hotel was nice attractions were good
