The hotel was beautiful and clean. Rooms are extremely cold and you’re not able to adjust the temperature. There was one problem! One morning I was leaving my room and came out to a letter that stated the smoke detector was triggered at 6:34am and a $350 fee would apply. I was upset because at 6:34am I was asleep and no one else was in my room. Took the letter down to the front desk and the man that checked me in was there and I spoke with him. I let him know I don’t smoke and at 6:34am I was sleeping I am on vacation. He stated that it would be removed. 2 hours later I checked my bank account and they had taken $182.45 so I questioned the receptionist about what the charge was and she first stated that it was a destination fee and I stated that I paid that fee at check in. The manager Kristina came to me and stated that is for smoking. I told her what I told the gentleman whose name was angel and she laughed in my face and stated that no male was there and that made me really upset. I asked for corporate’s number and the manager higher than her. I spoke with the operations manager Patrizia she stated that it could not be removed just like Kristina stated. They stated that they do not have the ability to refund there. The worker at the desk kept apologizing to me stated that she felt bad because this is a ongoing issue that they are aware of ( Detectors Are Faulty Is What She Stated ) I called corporate and explained exactly what happened and what I was told.
