We stayed here two night. First night there was no hot water. Complained at desk. He said knob had to be just so in position. He came up and fiddled with it about 10 minutes, but no luck. No showers that night. Second night prepaid so we had to stay. The shower knob was not attached properly to the wall. It really wiggled around. My sister played around with it night two and was successful in finding the right combination of positions (left, right, up, down, in, and out. So we had showers night two. I asked for compensation for no shower and call from manager. I received neither!! I found this totally unacceptable. Front desk was pleasant but I felt their hands were tied. It is undergoing renovations, but still not an excuse for no hot water. Room reasonably clean. Poor maintence! I give it a poor rating.

Hotel is a very minimalist style which was fine as we were boarding a cruise the next day. Shower was a bit tricky to get hot water.

The staff was nice and we were able to drop off our luggage prior to check in. The property is undergoing renovation and at times it was noisy. The room only had 1 hand towel and 2 bath towels, no drinking glasses.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing stay. The room was extremely small and lacked basic amenities such as a mini fridge, microwave, ice bucket, or even basic glasses. Noise was constant and unacceptable. Housekeeping staff were very loud early in the morning, yelling in the hallways, making it impossible to rest or sleep properly. Considering the price paid, the experience did not meet expectations at all. I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

we needed to find a hotel asap due to flight cancellation.Room clean i had to remember we’re in PR the price of the room was ok until we saw the size of the room. it reminded me of a dorm room in college. tiny but cute. no toiletries but towels and wash clothes available. they charge for the key card if lost. overall if you’re traveling alone it’s good but my husband who’s 6’3 had to sleep diagonally 😩. oh no fridge or microwave was available. but if you’re traveling solo and don’t mind then this place is great. oh the view was an alley.

Do not stay here. We checked-in at 4p and were checked out and at another hotel by 530p. The El San Geronimo sign wasn’t in the front of the building which was confusing when being dropped off because the used it as a photo for this site. Got inside the hotel and there was plywood covering a doorway and absolutely no amenities. The hallway carpet on the way to the room wasn’t clean. The room smelled like mold. The bedding was damp on both beds and the bedding had marks of something on it. The bathroom was extremely small. Expedia did attempt to get my money back because we were staying for 7 days but the hotel manager refused to respond to their request. DO NOT STAY HERE. This hotel should be removed from the Expedia site as an option to book. Stay at the Bali Posh Hotel in Carolina. Although it’s not as close to Old San Juan like San Geronimo is; you’ll be comfortable during your stay.
