It was very odd at the check in but the front desk individual was ignoring me and assisted others that arrived after me

The main issue is they try to scam you by charging you for bringing a guest;that is, not every guest is a prostitute. My girlfriend who checked in at a later time with me was stopped at the door when we came back from dinner because they assumed that she had to be a working girl. Really disappointing! In addition, they also harassed my friends. You should be more respectful to your guests snd understand your neighborhood.

Frustrated Guest

I was on vacation with my wife who is living in Costa Rica. We had issues with water pressure for the toilet, the sink had scolding hot water. Made numerous attempt to get that corrected to no avail. I was trying to prevent possible injury. It was that hot. On January 29th, it is my belief when the maid came to clean bathroom she dropped and broke my wife's hair curling iron. The problem is that it cost at least $100 to $180 to replace in Costa Rica. Management was notified; however, the maid denies seeing. A letter was left with management on January 30th. Very disappointed that nothing has been done to assist with replacement. I left out of the room that Monday 1/29 for a few hours and came back early afternoon to find the curling iron broken and the room clean. Please assist with reconciliation. Frustrated guest, Brian

Great hotel in San Jose

Great hotel in San Jose. I highly recommend it! It was close to Museums & Parks. The staff was wonderful and the beds were comfortable.

Nothing seemed to work...

First the good... The hotel lobby was much nicer than I expected it to be. Now the bad... The lady at the front desk was incredibly rude, the safe in our room did not work and instead kept beeping, we got no hot water, and the heater did not blow any warm air. Luckily we were only staying one night so we just sucked it up.

Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and always willing to help. Comfortable beds, cable, clean bathrooms. The maid would clean thoroughly, and provided laundry services but these are a little expensive. The food at the hotel was of poor quality, I order the soup and it was not fresh, I ordered plantain and these appeared to be just warmed up.
