Too close to the airport, late and early Takeoffs

Posted Jan 29, 2016 on Expedia
Pros: location
Nice location - close to ocean views and Gaslamp but planes taking off early in the morning and until late in the evening makes me think it wouldn't be good for a family vacation. Even though everything else was good I graded it OK overall.

Beautiful hotel with an amazing view

Posted Jan 27, 2016 on Expedia
This hotel was very comfortable and modern in a beautiful location right on San Diego's waterfront. The only downside is that the room did not include breakfast and the options for food were very pricey.

Nice bayside view with little over payment.

Pros: Location and View
Cons: Better facilities and inner resturant
Location: sightseeing around downtown San Diego and Bayside
Quite fair stay for the bayview if you have a valuable guest.

Older hotel that has been renovated. Great view of the bay and very close to the water. Rooms were small and already outdated. 15.00/night valet parking kind of ruined the whole idea of getting a great rate away from downtown. Next time I will just stay in the Gas Lamp area and pay their valet. Remodeling so restaurant was closed. The best part of the room...the bed was very comfortable. Overall not worth $200.00 per night when you throw in taxes and valet parking.

Great hotel, friendly helpful staff and beautiful view. Convenient for food, shopping and culture. Right next to the airport so you constantly hear the planes coming and going. They held a church there on Sunday so there were a lot of people in the lobby and parking area which was a bit frustrating. But overall good experience and would stay there again.

Sparse accomodations in dated location.

Posted Jan 26, 2016 on Hotels
Sparse rooms, only two dresser drawers available, no towel racks, no fridge (unless you pay an additional $10/day). Paper-thin walls and connecting doors meant for a LOT of noise from adjoining rooms. Lobby restaurant and bar is closed, only a small coffee kiosk in the hotel itself. Other on-site food options available, but no bar? Internet was dreadful, and was actually unavailable for at least a full day, reason was "our provider is down", which is a pretty lame excuse. Bed was VERY comfortable, but that's probably the only nice thing to say about the room. Was convenient for walking to Little Italy, but not much else, but cabs are normally parked out front.

From check in (early) to check out our stay at this hotel was wonderful.
