Listen if you havent spent time in a bottom floor apartment in the city youll hate this place. Its definitely a good place to stay for the price, it by no means is quite, its a renovated office, home or apartment turned into a botuqie hotel. So youll hear everything at all times.

There were two shampoo bottles instead of body wash. Also they should have more shelves or luggage stand for four people party.

The hotel is a landmark in San Diego. The rooms are well-appointed and charming. The bathroom was my favorite with the old-timey sink withthe chain plug and the unique shower. It's definitely different checking into a hotel with no staff on-site, but check-in was smooth. My main issue, hence the 4 stars, is that our room was upstairs and there's no elevator. I have a knee injury so going up and down the stairs was a bit of a challenge, especially with our suitcases. The halls do echo so there was that worry when we came in late. The lobby area is super cute and cozy. I would stay here again but would request a first-floor room.

The room did not me expectations. It was ground floor and all night long all you could hear was bums yelling at each other street noise, sirens, and fights. It was a terrible area when we reached out to the hotel to talk to them about the issues they said they were aware and provided us earplugs and sleep masks to make our stay more comfortable. I’m not sure about you, but I can’t sleep with your plugs in they hurt and if I’m paying to stay in a place, it should be comfortable and quiet. The hotel refused to work with us when we told them we were not gonna stay for the five nights we would pay for the one and be gone since we didn’t get any sleep. They refused to work with us at all. They charged us for the entire five nights stay even though they were able to rebook the room to someone else.

I don’t believe this hotel has enough security in terms of the code to enter the building and the code to enter my hotel room were the same. I had someone enter my room and steal some clothes and items from my luggage. I wouldn’t recommend any hotel that doesn’t offers ample security.

There was a homeless woman in one of the rooms, and then later in front of the door step. It was also not clean. Had difficult time getting compensated (and in the dead, did not get compensated at all).

If you just need a bed and bathroom, this is a great spot. The room and bathroom has minimal shelfing. There is no ice machine on site. The rooftop lounge fire places didn't work- perhaps its only seasonal. No staff on site, which is not a big deal, however, 1st day I reported a broken conditioner bottle and it took over a day to replace. For the price, its a good place to stay and has a good location. If it had an ice machine on site, i would have given 4 stars

Not bad for an affordable stay in San Diego. The room we had on the second floor was pretty small but we just needed a place to sleep so that was fine. There were some stains on the bedding that kinda grossed us out, and the fitted sheet didn’t really fit on the mattress at all; the second we got in bed it just snapped off and we struggled to get it back on. No matter how hard we tried, it would come off very quickly, which was pretty annoying. The walls are super thin and you can hear other people in their rooms and all the noise from the busy street outside. The mini fridge was nice and there were cans of water and cookies waiting for us when we entered the room for the first time. The bathroom door was… interesting. I’m not sure why there wasn’t just a normal door, it was a sliding door on a track but it kept getting stuck and took a ton of effort to slide open and shut. The door is also too small for the doorframe, so there is a pretty significant gap on the sides even when the door is shut, so don’t expect bathroom privacy if you’re with someone else. There’s also no shower door, it’s a walk in shower but you are forced to stand in the same place the whole time so water doesn’t spray all over the bathroom. Check in and check out was pretty easy and the luggage storage was very helpful. This is a nice place if you just need an affordable place to sleep on a San Diego vacation but don’t expect anything but the bare minimum.

I never leave reviews, but I’d be doing others an injustice if I didn’t. I wish someone had warned me before I booked. There were several major issues. 1.The room was not as advertised. The photos online made it look spacious, but Room 104 was genuinely the size of a closet. With two people, it was extremely cramped & we couldn’t even open both suitcases at once, and the layout made the whole stay uncomfortable. 2.The sliding bathroom door was broken for the entire first day. Even though they responded to my messages, they didn’t offer to move us, and no matter how close you are with someone, you still want bathroom privacy. The bed directly faces the bathroom, so it was awkward and unacceptable, especially for the price. It wasn’t fixed until the next day, and only after I repeatedly followed up with calls. They also only provided one toilet paper roll for a week. 3.The AC barely worked. It would turn on for a second and shut off, and the room stayed HOT. This also took a full day to fix, which was incredibly frustrating. 4.Parking was a nightmare. We drove around for30+ minutes searching, street parking was scarce, garages were either full or extremely expensive, and one recommended option didn’t feel safe. 5.No mini fridge; tough issue bc we were there for a week & needed1. Overall, nothing was communicated clearly, and we paid a lot of money to be uncomfortable. I hate leaving a negative review, but if this helps someone avoid the same experience, it’s worth being honest.
