Hotel Cosmopolita

Via Santa Eufemia, 5, Rome - Map
This hotel was great! The location was perfect as it is right in the center of Rome and walking distance from EVERYTHING! My husband was born and raised in Italy and I have been to Rome many times, so we wanted a hotel that was central so we could spend our days walking around with no schedule. It met our needs and we both recommend this hotel. The staff was very friendly and spoke excellent English so communication is not a problem. Additional good points: roof top garden, full breakfast buffet included in price (eggs were a little soggy), and premises were very clean!

Pantheon Royal Suite

"Great Hotel!"
We had an amazing stay at Pantheon Royal Suit. We stayed for 9 days and the hotel staff was amazing. They were always there to assist with any questions and very prompt on any request. Overall, very friendly staff and great customer service. In terms of the hotel it is in good shape and very clean. The rooms are small but that's standard European hotels and either way we hardly stayed there besides to sleep so didn't bother us. The location of the hotel is amazing since its at the heart of the Pantheon and close to everything. So if you are fit person can walk almost to all popular tourist attractions (i.e. Coliseum, Vatican, Piazza Navona, Roman Form, Trevi Fountain, and etc). In addition to the hotel being close to all popular tourist attractions, the area near the hotel is very lively each night so can never be bored. I would definitely stay at the Pantheon Royal Suite again!

"Awesome location!!!! Great old hotel!"
Highly recommend!!! Great location just by the Pantheon with lots of restaurant right out the door. And sights and shopping nearby, all walking distance. Beautifully renovated and very helpful staff. Only issue was our room had WiFi issues, which drove the kids crazy. Also as the Hotel is so old I could hear people stomping in the room above us. But we did not really find that an issue.

Exe Hotel della Torre Argentina

Corso Vittorio Emanuele II 102, Rome - Map
"Perfect Location"
Spent 4 nights at the Exe Hotel della Torre Argentina in August 2015. Couldn't have picked a better place to be home base for exploring Rome. Walk out the front door you literally have Rome at your feet. A short walk in any direction takes you to the favorite sites of the city (The Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, The Vatican, The Colosseum) ....great restaurants nearby as well. We got a triple room (3 single beds). Although we were cramped, we slept well. Nice linens, comfortable bed great pillows too. The bathroom was roomy. Most of all the A/C was perfect! Our room was on the 2nd floor facing the street. The shutters and windows opened to give you fresh air, but when would never know you were facing the street. The rooftop garden was a big hit as well. So nice to sit up on the roof and scan the rooftops of Rome. Just be careful, not all the floor boards are secure.

"Fantstic location"
The staff was exceptional! Everthing from recommendations on where to eat dinner, directions to various attractions, or just having a conversation about the weather, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel was centrally located. The immediate surrounding area is very busy, but entertaining, There is a taxi stand within 100 feet of the front door. Rooms are rather small, but very clean. We would highly recommend Hotel Aruzzi!

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. It's hard to find a hotel in Italy that's quite. But this one was the best I've found so far. It's within walking distance to everything. We only took a cab too and from the airport. We walked everywhere the rest of the trip.

Hotel Duca d'Alba

Via Leonina 14, Rome - Map
"Good location "
I will list the pros on this hotel first. 1. Good location. 2. Friendly, helpful staff. 3. Excellent breakfast. 4. Small, but very clean, attractive room. 5. All the staff spoke excellent English, which was helpful to us, since we don't speak Italian. Now the cons. 1. Very hard, uncomfortable bed. 2. Noise from other guests when they returned to their rooms. (Doors are squeaky and impossible to shut quietly even when trying)(we were in annex). 3. Paid for our room on Travelocity, but when we arrived that there would be an additional city tax due at the end of our stay and that it must be paid in cash. This is not something that I blame the hotel for, but it was an unpleasant surprise.
