Hotel Forum

Via Tor de' Conti, 25, Rome - Map
"Super location"
the hotel is in an unbeatable location if you want to be close to the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. The ruins start literally across the narrow cobblestone street in front of the hotel. The Colosseum is only a brisk ten minute walk with lots to look at as you walk. My room was small [standard size], but more than sufficient for my needs. Staff at the desk were friendly, attentive, and full of helpful advice. Elevator is tiny, but none of us need to spend much time in it.

Via Santa Eufemia, 5, Rome - Map
The best: location, price, hotel staff. The lobby is current, the rest of the hotel is dilapidated. Mind you, not in disrepair. Stains around cooling unit, peeling wallpaper, room furniture that is quite beat to sh**. The bed was not comfortable, yet not the worst. The walls in the main areas off the lobby are also beat up. The shower stall tiny, but good pressure. It is in a more quiet area of the city and is safe. The breakfast is ok. They literally have cut-up, roasted hot dogs on the breakfast bar (no sh!!). In addition to your prepaid hotel stay, there is a $250 deposit for a 6 night stay. From that, they'll deduct your daily tourist tax, and payment for breakfast wieners, when you check out. We still had a great time. others? Maybe not. Depends what you expect and how fussy you are.

Honestly this hotel was perect. Nothing too fancy. Perfect for those just needing a place to stay/shower while exploring the city during the day. I only stayed one night and unfortunbately had to leave a lot earlier than expected (6 am) the next morning due to flight changes so I didnt get to have breakfast. They did have snacks and coffee available all the time though! It's a cute older building, but they have kept everything very tidy and clean. Its in a decent area with a little bakery downstairs and cafes just around the corner. Enjoyable walk to the Colosseum. Just a short walk to the metro as well. When I first checked in the first thing the owner did was give me a map and show me were I should go. Even reccomended a place for food -Luzzi's. SO GOOD I ATE THERE TWICE!!! The owner and his wife also made sure I was not walking around with my backpack as pickpockets are a huge problem in Rome. I was able to leave my things there safe and sound! Only two complaints, there is no air conditioning so it was quite warm, but it is July so that was to be expected. They did have a fan though. Also I could not get the wifi to work in my room. Not any huge issues. I didnt ask about the wifi since I was only there for a short time. I think it's perfect for anyone even families! The owner was so sweet and made everything super easy!

"Close to everything "
We stayed here earlier this week and found the location to be perfect. Located across the street from the Palentine Hill and walkable to the entrance of the Colosseum, Trastevere and Trevi Fountain. Quick taxi ride to Vatican City. The only problem we had was that there is no AC in the room during this time of year. I guess it's normally alot colder in November but it has been unseasonably warm.

Spacious room with a terrific view of the Roman ruins! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful in informing us of the right restaurants and places to see. We will definitely return to the Forty Seven when we return to Rome!

"Not really a "room", more of a closet..."
In reality, when your travel to Rome, your room is really only used to store your baggage and sleep/shower. You don't (or certainly, shouldn't) go to Rome to hang out in a hotel room; so in this respect, the room was adequate. It was clean, secure and reasonably priced. The hotel staff was super helpful and the breakfast was excellent.

"Small room but GREAT location and friendly staff. "
This hotel was right in the middle of historic Rome. We walked to the Colosseum in less than ten minutes and saw a few well-preserved ruins along the way! The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. Staff was very courteous. Breakfast bar well-stocked and clean. The ONLY thing we didn't like is that the bathroom was not in our room! It was across the hall. But we didn't have to share it with anyone else so that was fine. There was also no window in our room. But we were only there for a few hours to sleep. Small room. Quiet area. Clean streets. Would definitely stay there again.
