"This property is situated on a gorgeous piece of land that is peaceful and well-maintained. The place was perfect for our family of four. Our two boys shared the second bedroom, which had two beds. There was everything we needed to cook several meals, use the hot tub, and clean a load of laundry. The ride into town is not too far, with a great view as you go. We enjoyed our stay immensely. "

"We were greeted by Ruby the VRBO dog when we arrived for our 2 night stay. She's an awesome pup! We enjoyed talking to Brenda and learning about the property from her. Her collection of art in the house is wonderful. We made two dinners and breakfasts and found everything we needed in the kitchen. Sunsets were amazing. Walking down to the view of the Rio Grande was an experience. We didn't make the trek to the river itself. From the house, we went to the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, visited the Harwood Museum (loved it), toured the earth house community, had lunch at Michaels Kitchen (delicious huge servings), explored cemeteries and churches. Cyd's was a good place to grocery ship for what we needed. Smiths has a bigger selection. The gravel road is a bit teeth rattling but the house makes it all worth it. "

"So magical!! The location was really breathtaking with views of the mountains all around!!The weather kind of betrayed us (huge winter storm with snow and rain!) so it was a bit cold but the blankets on the beds were nice and snuggly! We also did not get to see any stars due to cloud coverage.The Earthship did have a pretty significant ant problem, but we just put everything in the fridge and it was okay.Make sure to read the handbook as there are two spouts on the faucets: one for drinking water and one for other uses (we did not realize that)Overall, an absolutely wonderful once in a lifetime experience.Thank you!!
