The room was dirty and the sheets we’re wrinkled. The floor was not cleaned and the bath linens were yellowed or stained previously.

Starting from the booking my wife called to check on the breakfast. Guess what oh yes we still have the breakfast bar. And this was while COVID was rampant. I got there I was told breakfast was a sweet roll and 5 oz oj. The first room was trashed mold growing in the paper coffee cup. I will give them credit they updated me to a “nicer room.” Guess what the thermostat was broken. Thank goodness for the ac/heater unit on the could still be controlled. At insult to injury the alarm clock had been stolen from the room. The hot water was tepid at best and no water pressure. I will say one thing that was great was the front desk staff really had it going on.

Dear Don, Thank you for your comments, we have been operating through the pandemic as an essential business. We have temporarily closed out breakfast buffet as per the pandemic food safety guidelines. We will reopen once safely possible, till then our guest have appreciated the bagged breakfast with muffin/danish, breakfast bar, fruit cup and juice or milk choices. As per your room issues we will address accordingly as needed, glad to hear our front desk staff was able to accommodate you.

I did not realize when I booked this property that it was a pet friendly hotel. That is a problem for me. I am very allergic to animals, in fact I keep an epi-pen with me always. The staff did put us on the first floor which helped. The last couple of days we were there however, someone with their dog was all over the main level and in the hallways . I did not like that at all. For this reason, if all LaQuintas are pet friendly, I will not be booking there again.
